Im doing my first scrog and veggin out doors, flowering indoors. A few of my strains look like their flowering now! Days are almost the longest of the year and getting longer still, I have no idea how they could do it. Also last fall I couldnt get plants to flower in my yard if I wanted cus the house and street lights kept em up all night. Actually I gave my brother some clones a while back and they starting doing it at his house a week or so before mine did. WTF?

Just roll with it. Maybe it has something to do with it being a clone or something.

I hope mine flower when I put them outside. (They're just seedlings now)

I think b is right. I got 3 or 4 clones out of nine that have started to bud early. My buddy mentioned it was in the strain, that the plant had been cloned and flowered early several times and so now it just does it. I dont know for sure but thought I would pass that on.

a plant of mine did this indoors. most likely, its because you took the clone and it is in less intense light then the original mother. decreasing light, plus the shock of cloning can make the plant freak the fuck out and try to reproduce as fast as possible, and decreasing light makes it think the season is changing. therefor flowering when its not supposed to...
just what i learned from when this happend to my plant. =]

So weird, I cant think of any reason for it. They were growing fine for weeks, nothing has changed. Im gonna turn on the lights late at night every night to snap em outa it.

Don't think they'll reveg at this point, I got 3 that are flowering right now too, last year I had a couple flower beginning of july and were fully packed of buds end of august.

What could make them bud when days are getting longer? And almost as long as they get all year? Thought it was 100% based on photoperiod.

nope not autos, ive grown these out a few times. Only thing I can think of is I tend to take cuttings a few weeks into flowering. So they have buds at first, but they are way grown out of that.

well in my experience it causes genetics to get weaker and a bit screwy. a couple plants started flowering under 24 hours light, a couple didnt flower for 3 weeks of 12/12 and they were fully mature. and IMO took stress alot easier.

I wonder with regular nursery plants if they have mother plants or if they take cuttings before they sell the plants type of thing. Hmmmm, now that I think about it they probably do have some kinda mother plant situation.

What was your light schedule before you put them outside exactly ? you really need to slowly sync up the indoor with outdoor before dropping them outside. Learned the hard way several times myself. I put mine under 20/4 and slowly dropped them down to 17/7. I think it was like 4 AM on and 9 PM off. Things look much much better then last year when they went from 24/7 to outdoors which triggered flowering right away.

this is excellent advise, a lot of the times the plant will flower when sunlight is decreased regardless of what schedule you are using.

Mine were from seed, not auto's but like I said only a couple plants are doing this. You really can't beat the yield you get from outdoors, when mother nature is in control.
