Nice one CS. With that extra wattage of HPS i worry your temps are going to be an issue at some stage. Let us know once that baby is installed.

For sure RS I'll update when I get the 150 Installed and check the temps.

Hope your temps stay cool. If you got a standard squrare reflector you can usualy seal the heat in around the bulb with 1/8 inch pyrex sheet glass, its pretty dam cheap an takes high temps! 24x24 is 30$ish here. Than vent your reflector an vent the heat out. Are the fans loud? I just run fans around the hidden box to cover the noise. How do you cover up the fan noise

LOL! Thanks for droppin in scarehole. I'll think about that diy cool tube if the temps get crazy again. I still want to do some outside so bad after watching your Journal. I'm getting a 150 soon so the temp probs will probably start all over again. I took most of the fans out now I just have the 1 65 cfm exhaust fan. It's a little loud but I do the same as u and keep a big fan on the cab blowing all the time to block out the noise. Especially now that I rewired the cab to run the fan during the dark period.

Does anyone know about the effects of green blue or red lasers on plants.
I have a 125 mw green laser that you can use to point out stars with. Also you can burn through electrical tape and pop balloons, but i was just thinking about my plants and my laser plus I was getting high. You all know how the rest goes. Something like this, Dude I wonder what would happen if, and or, man wouldn't that be something if it worked and your buds just packed on some crazy ass weight. Anyway probably not a good idea but I can't find any info about it.

The third pic I am trying to use the laser to check the reflectiveness of my cab. But the dam thing is so powerful it turns the entire cab green.

plants can't "see" green light. that's why a lot of rooms will have green fluros setup around, so that you can work during the night cycle without affecting your plants.

They can't miss this light bro I don't care if it is green LOL! I could leave it on a leaf for a few seconds and you'll see smoke rolling off the point of contact. I did this to one of my maders i'm growing. I hear ya though I'm sure there's no benefit to it. Here is a link I got the envee 120 http://www.lucentoptics.com/. They have other sites also like wicked lasers they have even bigger lights. Pricey though I went with the $300 envee from lucent.
The coolest r the blue lasers but dam expensive.

Ever shine that laser off the back of a CD? If you hold it kind of on an angle and let it refect up onto a smooth wall or ceiling it throws off this crazy pattern because of all the mircoscopic grooves on the back.

Thanks sonar! Idk yet about the lights I'm kinda thinking this cab is good everything is so dialed in now I hate to change it. I feel so relieved now that I'm not constantly worried by the excessive temps. Plus I'm running 203 total watts ATM. I'm now keeping an eye out for a new cab so i can possibly get a perpetual grow going and use the 150 in that. What do you think about it? I have all the parts minus the cab and a few little things.

Yeah I don't think there is much of anything I haven't shined the laser off of. It's even been to vegas at the top of the Stratosphere. You could see this thing as far as your eyes will let ya.It really F's with people too soooo funny.

Yeah that's a tough call to make. On one hand, more light will equal bigger buds, but on the other hand, if something isn't broke, why fix it. Especially since you already have everything dialed in. When I bough my 250w, I already had some plants going that were a couple weeks old. I took the plants out and did a dry run first since I didn't know how hot it was going to get. Even with a fan going it was over 90 degree within a half hour. I kind of figured it wasn't going to work, but my friend only wanted $40 for it so I bought it anyway just to have. Where did you buy you new light if you don't mind me asking?

I think another cab will give you a lot more flexibility. You can use one as a veg room and the other as your flowering room. Plus if you ever decide you want to start cloning you can use it as a clone/veg room. I've been checking out the ready made grow tents from htgsupply for the future when I move, but they are a little expensive.

I got it from my local hydro shop. I actually traded some for some work I did on his store. The part I replaced cost a 1/4 of what the new light cost. They wanted $90 for it but u can find em online cheaper even with shipping.

I agree this cab is working too good to screw it up now. Plus I can change almost all the lights to 6500k. Tents r pricey and I'm more a diy type anyway it's more rewarding this way. Plus peeps know if they see a tent that something is going on. I've had numerous people walk right past and even lean on it without a clue that there is Master Kush right underneath them. The best part about a new cab would be cutting harvest times in half.

LOL! Thanks for commin by Mr Natural. My heart jumps a little when a nonsmoker is leanin on my cab. I have use the force to stop them from trying a drawer. Thats my biggest give away. Why would anyone hate on us who don't and or can't have medical MJ cards and dispensaries all over the dam place? That fact alone is bad enough for us right?. We want some personal med's just like them.
