I have a 3x3x5 grow tent in my room closet , 1000 watt mh, 6" online fan cooling connected to an air cooling unit, 6" carbon filter, 10 plants on a 23/1 cycle for 40 days after germination and. 12/12 for 10 weeks
will my setup grow me a pound a plant

Definately not 16oz per plant but maybe all together. More info - hydro or soil, what nutes, temp, humidity? Plus that metal halide is not recommended for budding because it has the wrong color spectrum the plan needs in that phase so expect smaller buds that take longer than if you used a HPS. Watch your temperature as well those MH's especially the 1000w get HOT!

Okay am I the only one who has noticed hes going to have 10 Plants in a 3x3x5 Space with a 1000w MH?!?!?! Lets say that temp has no effect, he's vegging for 40 days? I had 3 plants in a 3x4x6 room I vegged for 30 days and it was way way way to crowed! Now lets add the temp issue here, can we say pitts of hell in the tent? I think your going to have temps in excess of 90+! I have a 600w Cooltube with a 6in Fan and 4in Filter, so I have alot of air pushin over that bulb! And I have a difficult time with keepin temps under 80 in the summer! And even in winter my temps are 75 in the room and 65 outside the room.
So in my opinion, rethink your stratagy and come at this at a new angle!
Because IMO with this setup you wont yeild very much, but you'll get a lot of Mildew, Mites, Rot, and Fire.

10 plants under a 1000w light might yield you about 4oz per plant.
The problem is your vegging two weeks too long, have too little of space, etc etc etc.......... You need a mentor before you waste your money.

not gonna happen man, 4535 grams in a 4x4x5..... i have a 4 x 10 x 8 with 8 plants. 2 x 400w hps and crossing my fingers for 400 grams..thats 14 oz of all my 8 plants in total..and you want 16 oz of each and every one of them..

Well it is possible to get 1+grams per watt(gpw) depending on your skills/genetics/space/etc...
But some people don't even get .25 gpw, and some people get 1.5 gpw.

In order to pull a pound of a 1000 watt you would need to .448 gpw say .5 gpw.

We dont know, can you? j/k Probaly not. I have 12 plants in 2 qt pots outside. Space is 23"w x 27"d x 32"h I am going to flower all 12 of them within that space under the sun for the hell of it.

40 days of 23/1 will not give you a good root structure. Plants need about 6 hours a day from germ in darkness to establish a good root structure.
