its 20inch tall with super growth he had to cut fans off coz to much shade sort of. im only on a console browser so cant post pics but mrbigbud75 on youtube last vid u can see it curling up. the plant looks healthy but the new growth at the top, once they get to certain size the leaves claw down not drastically but enuf to worry. also no burn but look a little tinge yellow and few of the lower 1, 1/2inch leaves is healthy looking green but are clawed a bit, plz check vid

it is possible that this is true, different strains carry different traits and some may require special care, try altering that afghan's watering schedule, observe the effects and let me know, i haven't seen an experiment done on this yet...

doesn't look like anything he should worry bout', do you know whats his watering schedule, could just be minor case of over-watering?

my m8 had tha its y on on one his vids on youtube mrbigbud75, flush the soil and only waterd once a week after it drys out it stunts its growth but wil bl ok in a week or so, then start again with only half nutes and dnt over water,

yeah similar, flushed the soil check ph let it dry and just water for a week, that should stop spread, then commence ferts at half dose, the leaves wont recover but wont spread and growth may slow a bit but perks up in no time,

still on my first cup of coffee, salt build up i have been letting them get pretty dry between watering
Here is what this pic tells me, the plant is ready for water evidenced by the lower leaves starting to droop, light is about 3 inches to close, evidenced by the upper new growth standing up, plant is trying to cool itself by transpiring a bit hard not taking up as many nutes as it could if not stressed

I would not up the dose of nutes, rather I would relieve the stress and then feed as usual, monitor what happens and adjust nutes accordingly from there

Thank You
I have spent a lot of time trying to teach folks to learn to read thier plants, they will tell you exactly what they want if you just take the time to understand what they are saying to you

Riddleme,

First off, I never said that I've read a years worth of posts in forums. I merely said that I have been reading these forums over the past year.

Secondly, I do know that tinfoil is not the proper way to go as I believe it has been proven that flat white paint is the best for reflecting. Also, I know that mylar and panda wrap (?) are also good alternatives but I couldn't find either where I live. I thought about ordering it online but I was trying to do this without spending too much money as "the boss" (my wife) wasn't too keen on this to begin with, lol. Therefore, I used tinfoil as I am not a Professional grower and tinfoil WILL do the job.

Thirdly, I have seen many grow box designs but I kind of did my own thing and I didn't really find an answer on how to completely seal a grow box such as the one I built.

I was only seeking simple advice, not to be put down after my first post.

Thanks anyways!
Was not meant to put you down, sorry if it came off that way, if you read any/most of my post you would know I don't hate on folks

But I do tend to point out the obvious and that is not against you, but rather so others can learn

Tim foil reflects HEAT, and WILL work as you say as long as there are no wrinkles in it and you are using lower wattage lights (such as CFL's) very hard to remain wrinkle free attached to a tarp

the second part of my post was meant to suggest that you look at what others have done to get ideas for your new closet, sorry I did not detail that in my statement, in my defense it was past my bedtime and I was stoned

I could use some help, plants leaves have brown spots on them and are curled under. HELP!!
this could be caused by many different things, hard to say without pic's and your post count won't allow you to post pic's so my best advice is get your post count up so you can post a pic and we can help without meaningless guessing

Thanks for the Info SmokesLikeBob, really helps Bro, I've added Rep, this thread is Killer!
And since your answers where so helpful I think I'll ask 3 more Questions! :bigjoint:

1) If I plan to Grow a Mother Plant from a Clone, can I grow her from Start (clone) to Finish (3 Ft tall) under a standard 2 x 55w set up? I'll be getting a few clones to start with and put them all under a 2 x 55w to grow/veg, then I'll pick the best one for the Mother Plant and flower the rest :bigjoint: So, is Growing a Mother from Clone under 2 x 55w lights a good idea or should I grow her under a MH instead once she shows roots under the 2 x 55w?

I know Flowering is effected by weaker light, but I'd like to know if Vegging is too. Can 2 x 55w grow a sturdy, strong, bushy Mother Plant? Or do I need MH? If so let me know!

2) Also, assuming that growing a Mother from a Clone under 2 x 55w is ok, I'd like to know if its also Ok to keep a Mother ALIVE under 2 x 55w and how long will she live for Approx? Ideally, I'd grow a Mother from clone under 2 x 55w and then keep her alive under the same 2 x 55w lights. Also, if I don't flower her she will obviously keep growing, so If I want her to stay around the 3 Ft height range should I take Cuttings from her starting with her highest Branches to "trim" her back? Is that how you keep a Mother Plant's height under control when you plan to keep her long term? By Triming her?

Ideally, I'd like to trim my Mother Plant and keep her at the right 3 Ft height by SIMPLY taking Clones from her top branches every 3 months. Does that Make Sense?

3) Final, Final question :bigjoint: I know its difficult to say, but I'd like a Ball Park Figure.... ROUGHLY how many 5" Clones can I cut from a 3 Ft Mother Plant in one go? She'll be 3 Ft tall and bushy, not tall and stringy, and after 3 months of Vegging I assume she'll have plenty of branches to cut. Im not sure how many leaves you can remove in one go without KILLING a Mother Plant, im trying to get an Idea now. So... if I plan to take the maximum amount of Clones from a 3 Ft bushy healthy Mother Plant, in your experience how many Clones do you think I'll be able to Cut in one go? The more the better, So any approx figure would really help. Also, lets say I take the Maximum amount in one go, and the Mother Plant is left quite "slim and trimmed" BUT still healthy and growing, will she Approx grow back everything I cut within 3 Months?

Im trying to Calculate how many Clones I can take for each 3 month grow cycle (1 mon Veg 2 mon Flower) So im hoping one Mother Plant can give me all the Clones I need every 3 months without growing her taller than 3 Ft and without having more then one Mother Plant. Make Sense?

It's all good! I know that I am a noob and I came into this forum with an open mind, willing to accept ANY advice I can get (Unlike that girl in the forum about cutting off fan leaves, HAHA).
I have been reading many threads in regards to everything from, soil conditions - PH Levels - SCROG - Grow Cabinets, LST, etc. etc. etc. However, I did not know that tin foil had to be flat as now it is FULL of wrinkles from folding up the tarp... WHOOPS

Will it still do the job or should I really consider re-doing it? As I said earlier, this is my first grow and I am not looking for miracles, just bud! Although.... I do consider bud a miracle

I had seen other peoples' fabricated grow tents but I just didn't understand how they were sealing them to contain the smell? My tent is definitely NOT sealed, which is completely fine with me but I am just worried about it stinking too much!!
