but on the other hand there are people that do need a pound a week an yes go with a hps if u have to acheive this but u will good great pot but it wont be connoisseur an these r not my words its been known for decades it a strain is capable of producing up to 22% thc a hps will give u fat ass buds all swollen an lookin good but the thc will only hit around 17% yes this is amazinly freekin high comparing it to the 8% thc that was called dank in the 70s off of 3 plants ull easily pull 7 oz an it will be great quality grade a weed but not a+ thats why i say hps is for the cash u can grown a grade weed an have tons of it an sell it but hey it ur opinion

some will go with a mixture the 2 to 1 ratio u can have a 600 watt hps with a 250 watt mh this also works great but in my opinion thats too much damn money an forget a conversion bulb crap im not spending 350 dollars hell no the best way to go is to get a mh an use like a 42 watt red spectrum cfl directed on each plant so if u have three plants get three cfls in the red spectrum 2700 an just have like a 400 watt mh over the top this is the most perfect way

I commend him on being able to write four paragraphs without using a single comma and only two full stops. He is a pioneer in my eyes. Discovering words such as ;wit, rite, studie and ull must be an exciting adventure indeed.

If I grew three plants and only got 4 ounces off them I'd personally stick to buying the shit. Considering the fact that you should be getting at least 1g per 2 watts (HID), we would all have to drastically retard our growing methods to achieve Zues's results.

How long have you been growing for Zues?

I only preach what I know to be true, things that I have seen and done myself. Personally I would stick to growing 24 ounces of high grade weed using my tried and true 50/50 400w HPS + 400w MH HID mix than use you method and get only four oz. The loss of 20 ounces of awesome weed hardly justifies the supposed 5% (17%-22%) increase in THC. Your theories even contradict the guide you cut pasted. Is that one single guide all the research you've done? Reaserch CMH.

I see a larger amount of trichomes building up on the areas of the buds/plant that generally get less light. IMO (I'm probably wrong) trichomes are a way of the plant magnifying and intensifying UVB light to certain cellular structures within the surfaces of the plant that get less light. I've found that in intense light situations (ie; 400 w HID @ 15-30 cm) I see a decrease in trichome density, while resin is practically dripping off the undersides of the well lit colas and shaded areas.

IMO good genetics would always produce a higher quality product which ever way you grew it. Average yeild is an art you learn as you become more experienced with the type of plant grown, weather it be Cannabis, Tomatos or Sweetcorn.

Zues i agree with most of what you are saying, as i have noticed a stronger taster smoke from my HPS,CMH setup, than just my old HPS grows,
But i have biger yelds runing both lights at the same time, as more watts, at the moment im geting 0.75grams a watt.

nothing new bro. if you thing about it there were no hps back in the days when they were growing indoors. it was either mercury vapor,or MH. it just that you get a better light lumens and penatration from the hps.
and you can run a MH BULB in aHPS BALLAST.. it doesn't have to be a convertion bulb.

LOL upgrads, i started off with a 70watter and worked my way up to a 1000watt light, i have a 600watt MH in my HPS (not CLFbongsmilie) ballast right now, never had one go on me,

And the only 600 watt MH bulbs I have run across are conversion bulbs. I have been trying to find straight 600 watt MH ballasts and bulbs, and cant find any. Do they make them? Please post a link if you know where to get them.
