California Vote No

For starters you can go to war at 18 but this law will do nothing for you. Currently if you are caught with 28 1/2 grams or less, you are lookin at a fine of $25 to $60 depending on what area you are in. marijuana is already de criminalized in Californiia. IF this law passes, anyone under 21 with even a joint can literally do time. You got a nephew or a friends kid that is 20 years old and you wanna give em a hit,you could do 3 to 5 years. Also,if your over 21 and you get caught with more than 28 1/2 grams, you will be in more trouble than before. If your kid decides to try marijuanna at 15 or 16 like most kids. Or sooner,I know. I started at 11. Anyway, your kid gets caught trying it for the first time, they can get 3 years. This law is a scam and a hustle by California, aimed at people that they know won't really read the shit. This law will RE CRIMINALIZE marijuanna in California. You watch, the revenue they crerate will go to people to figure out how to spend it. But most of it will go to task forces to fight all the new crime that this law will create. I mean think about it,right now your only real fear is the Fed. If this law goes through you better believe you'll be runnin from the state too. It will be ten times easier for them to see what your doin, you truly will be stuck with your 25 sq ft area. That's what, one perfect outdoor plant? Also,if your growing and some kid jumps in your yard and jacks you, gets caught smokin it down the street and says he got it outta your yard YOU could do 5 years. The prediction is anywhere up to $80 a gram on the street if this law goes. Typically people don't get shot up as much over weed. But if it starts costin as much as coke or others, your gonna see more of it. Than were gonna need more police to handle it. I'm tellin you,it's not what you think and Cali will not get any better financially. It's a hustle. Make sure you guys read EVERYTHING,not just the good points. Vote NO.

Why vote yes? What are you really gaining? The loss of a possible $25 or $60 fine? I can tell you for sure that everyone under 21 is gonna be doin crazy shit to get it. Just hope it's not your home they go into. I live in the ghetto, and this place is gonna be poppin off for sure. Just remember there is not that much to gain here but more crime that they are claiming will slow down. Which they will create,WITH your vote if you vote yes.

If your over 21 you vote no because it is an inherently corrupt law. I don't want kids going to jail for smoking weed, hell no. This will also crowd the already overcrowded prison system. I know when I was in high school the majority of kids in my class tested out smoking, and a lot of kids got caught too, but the punishment was small, well now if they are sent to prison and the prisons overfill they'll have to pick some crimes and lower the punishment to fix the crowding problems, so instead of having weed smokers get off easy it could be cocaine users or robbers or gang members. Vote no.

Godfrey,

Between this thread and the other one we have both replied to you are suggesting/implying your clients or you yourself are minors.... Why are you so hung up on what minors do? Why are you not satisfied with the ability to grow your own weed or having 28.5 grams on you..... Are you smoking an Oz a night?

With the current legislation/laws you need to hide or conceal your stash as it is, why not have the ability to be legal for a reasonable amount?

I don t understand your motivations between being a law abiding citizen and wanting to keep laws the way they currently are ( Most people committing a criminal offense for blazing up)....

Please explain your view/stance on the subject @ hand better so we all may be able to better understand your views. Currently as it sits I just cant see your position being a valid one based upon the legalities for adults.

Well, people talk about it being easier and more friendly to get. I disagree. It ain't gonna be at the 7 11. It's gona be where it's at already, only watched more. As soon as a store gets to close to the wrong mom it will be chaoss. Mom's screaming they don't want it in their neighborhoods. So off the shops will go to the same street as the strip joint. There is only one good thing about this bill, and even it is twisted. Lol. Just posted this somewhere else where I am discussing it with Keenly. I think this law could potentially double the amount of people locked up for weed. Even though people are voting to reduce the amount.

What????

Cocaine users, robbers and gang members are now less evil than pot smokers?
Oh man I just can't believe what I am reading.

The US prison system has suffered from overcrowding for a long time already.... Cali is not Texas, lets be real here.

I smoked weed as a minor, I knew it was against the law just the same as it is today, however I also had a few drinks as a minor, it was against the law also, buuuut as an adult
I can drink to my hearts content without reprimand unless I do harm to others or break other laws.....

Really what is the difference.

Ok. Once again as I said on the other thread,I don't give shit to minors. Not sure how to explain better. Like homey said,it doesn't matter if you have kids or not. Do you really wanna see a bunch of em locked up for doin the same thing we did? Do you as a taxpayer really wanna pay taxes on weed or otherwise just so they can use it to fuck with people? Don't forget, some of the MINORS I speak of are 18 to 20. Sorry but I feel if you go to war to fight for our country, that you should be man or woman enough to sit and smoke with any of us. Our prisons could fill as a result of this. People will probably die as a result of this. The minor thing was once again an example, just an example. But when some kid robs you at the ATM,so they can go buy a $40 gram, than you'll stop askin me why I bring up minors.

What I'm saying is that in order to enforce this law, minors will be punished just too harshly, its ridiculous for anyone to really go to prison for weed, especially kids, I would be devastated if my kid was caught with weed and locked up, I think kids deserve a fair amount of representation as well, and I don't want any law passed that will punish anyone more for smoking a bowl is complete idiocracy

Lol. It doesn't matter where you live. The ghetto is just where money and goods are exchanged that used to be in homes like yours. And I'm perfectly safe here, just so you know. People don't bother me one bit.

This is a freedom issue.

If under 21, you will be 21 eventually assuming you don't qualify for a Darwin Award beforehand.

If you choose to vote 'no,' non-medical possession will still be illegal when you turn 21.

Get it?

Re-legalize!

lol, these people pushing everyone to vote no come up with some of the weirdest points to argue.

I don't feel this is true legalizatin. I think it's a scam towards the re criminalization.
True legalization will happen only if the FEDS legalize it. The only way for that to happen is for states to vote yes and have a majority of the states do so. California is attempting to
do so, but it takes it citizens to approve of it if the opportunity is given.

Think of it this way, if only one of the states makes it legal will the FEDS? On the other hand, if 35 -40 states make it legal will the FEDS? My money is on majority rules.

Re-Criminalization is revoking the right to have a med card and making penalties stiffer, this is not what is being proposed.

Again, I would rather be able to have the freedom to do something harmless to others without the fear of losing my livelihood, family
or financial status rather than have to break the law to do the same harmless activity....

I only have safety to gain and money to keep in my families pocket by having the use and cultivation or MJ use becoming legal.
