ok everyone i started a thread earlier but screwed the photos all up......

in order to make this room possible I had to add to circuit breakers to my elec panel in order to efficently run the 3 lights i have planned to eventually put in...

.im startin small i just put 1 1000 w mh, within 2 weeks from today my 600 w ballast and light reflector will be here to add to the room for buddin time that way i can bud with 1000 w hps and 600 w mh.....my room is aprox 11x11.....i have outdoor exp. but this is my first indoor project, im very excitited to gain knowledge from this...i am kinda bitin alot off tho because im starting with 24 total plants....12 (hydro) OG kush and 12 (soil) pre bubba 98' hey im looking to keep myself busy for the next few months lol!

i am also waiting on my carbon scrubber....i have two 8 " vortec inline fans and about four oscilating room fans...tonight im picking up the rest of my nutes and my meters......im excited and nervous..i dont wanna fudge up 24 harmless innocent plants lol....

feedback plz!!!!!!!!!

Okay...things look good! Myself, I'd get an inline fan to move the heat from your light/hood. Carbon filter as you mentioned is a must. The filter is to be hung at the highest point in the room being that heat rises if your using natural air, you'll want your fresh air coming in at the bottom of your room as far as possibe from your carbon filter letting fresh air cover your garden as much as possible....or do you plan on using CO2?

well as you see in these pics i had to build a makeshift wall for my sliding glass door so i can run some venting out......i have a 6" inline fan pushin like 440 cfm...not the best i know but i will move up in cfms once i add my 600 w light...this is all in time. i am currently waiting for a carbon scrubber to come in and i will be pushin a 12" vortec fan with that,,,how often should i have that scrubber kick on in that 10x10 area for 20 plants.....also any suggestions on a inexpensive source of co2...anyone ever use those co2 boost buckett things?? well anyways these are the pics below im proud of myself because im actually getting this going!!! very exciting, cant wait to learn!!!!:bigjoint:

...yeah, bro sounds like you've got some good ideas for a first time indoor grow. Just remember, fresh air is your friend if your not using co2....the more the better. I keep my scrubber on 24-7 if temps allow. You can get a dimmer switch to adjust the speed of the airflow if your temps are getting too cold.

Thanks for your reply strainstalker i appreciatte the time you took to comment. yes i am planning on co2 im just looking for a inexpensive but effective solution. I honestly budgeted to spend like 8 or 9 hundred bucks on this hobby and have put 1500 and still need to buy a ph meter some pots and soil lmao...i really went overboard...hahaha..........i

...also, I would not waste my time with all the improvised co2 sources that alot of people try to home remedy. The natural environment has a ppm of around 300 of co2, and MJ can absorb upto 5 times that....so, if your not using a CO2 burner, or CO2 tank is all is a waste if time IMO. Good luck bud.

i live in the desert so i doubt temps will get to cold here if i ran 24/7 i will take your advice and do that.....from what i understand the carbon scrubber wont really be a must till i bud right ?? the odor usually isnt a prob till then am i right??

Your room looks pretty dan good, wish I had that for my first grow! I've heard those co2 buckets suck but have never used them myself. Their website says "The CO2 Boost bucket kit will about triple the available CO2 in a 4' x 5' area" I think that would be a little less that 1200 ppm on average and the optimal level for growth is around 1500. Seeing that your room is 11x11 you would need a few buckets and at over $100 a bucket it may be better to just get a co2 system but then again I don't know what the hell I'm talking about.

...here is a good tip bro, I keep try'n to explain to everyone how these electronic ph meters are a waste of money, but it's hard for everyone to get over their fancy toys in this hobbie. Dude, if you just get you a liquid ph testing kit, it is waaaaay more dependable, due to the constant caliberation needed to the electronics. I have 4 fuck'n electronic meters from Bluelab, and Milwalkie and I swear to you they are always off and my liquid ph kid made by General Hydroponic saves me everytime. Just some more helpfull info bro....look into what I'm say'n before you let anyone knock it....deal?

You will have an odor, but not as strong. If your not using CO2, your going to want to run the hell out of your filter as much as possible. Fresh air is your friend! The more the better.

well i mean if im doin this , I mine as well do it right...i will look into a co2 tank tommorow first thing, i dont wanna use a burner im to new guys, lemme get my feet wet, lol....however, i dont want any excuses of why i came up with sorry results( aside from my lack of knowledge from exp and/or hands on exp haha). i dont wanna hear later well if you had this it woulda been better...so "f" it, i will take your advice, you guys are the pros here! thanks alot for all of your input, it is highly appreciated

....okay, as you can tell, I'm bored! LOL, so....I'm goin to give you an ideas for your CO2 set up. First off, you need one of these > http://www.planetnatural.com/cgi-bin/planetnatural/portable-air-conditioner

^ that a/c unit has 2 hoses on it. It sucks in air to cool the unit off and expells the exact same air. This doesn't desturb the co2 enriched grow room, it only circulates it over and over it hope to keep your ppm @ 1500 (approx.)

....ofcoure you'll need a co2 regulator/monitor also to do this.

...now decide if your using a Co2 burner or Co2 bottle. The burner creates heat and some models have aircooled options....if heat isn't a problem they say the burner is the cheapest way to go in the long run.

Plus if you live in the desert you can have higher temps with co2. I agree with strain stalker that the digital meters can be a bitch. I actually use one but have the liquid as a back up. It's too hard to use the liquid accurately with the dark ass nutes I use.

ok how about this strainstalker.....
I dont use my central air as it is...what if i just close all vents to my house and run my ac fan at aprox 78 degrees...would this be air the plants could benefit from resulting in me not having to invest in a co2 system...at least right away??

To maintain perfect co2 levels and to be GOD in your grow room you also need to make your room airtight, this would include the whole a/c, co2 setup ....it can be expensive to set up, but, you'd double your yield in most cases if everything else is optimum.

....don't worrie about your crop bro. You'll have great results, your on a good site. Just listen to severl people before you go and act on one person's advice, and you'll see who will lead you in the right direction. I've done great with advice from this site in the past....so, I'm pay'n it forward.

...are you growing in soil/less?

i think i may have just went overboard for my first grow lmao........i hope i dont blow my friggin house up jk......i gotta say i have butterflies here.....my last dibacle is...should i use my aero set up orjust go 5 gallon pots with some light warrior soil (for the babies) or both??

Bro, I would actually suggest you go with fresh air as your doing so far with your first crop. Just know that Co2 can and will enhance things for you. As I say above though, you'd want to get the whole air tight room, a/c, co2 burner/bottle, and regulator/monitor.

...you want to keep your air temps around 70-75 in your home if your pulling fresh air from another room in your home, btw. This is how I've seen most rooms set up. If you have people actually breathing in the rooms that the fresh air is being pulled from could possibly have a benefit being that humans exhale Co2....not much, but it is a fact.
