how long did u veg your ss clones & how tall were they?
Ummmm, I think I vegged em for about 3 weeks before I flipped em to 12/12. There were all about 12 - 14 inches tall when I flipped em. I'll have to re-measure them again sometime here to see how tall they finally stretched t up to. I posted somewhere around the 3rd page what they intitially stretched to, but I think they went up about an inch or two higher than that in the end.

Your plants look fantastic, d.c. ... Nice grow. I also liked your comments on the superskunk smoking experience. It's one of my absolute favorites, too -- I found a little bit left in the corner of a forgotten bag a week ago and reminded myself of that.

I've become more and more impressed with how effective flouro banks are for healthy vegging.. your plants were going great-guns going into flower, and the end result shows.

Congrats..!

Yeah, it just really seems to have a great well-rounded buzz with a lot of CBD and CBN in it which I love for the body buzz aspect of the high. The SS doesn't seem to make me tired at all either. I have one pheno that I'm keeping alive through cloning that is really potent and a great yielder. It's also the shortest pheno that I had. Taste is a little lacking (as is usually the case in more potent pot), but after a 3 week cure the lemon flavor really starts coming out of it. If I take 4 hits of this pheno in the bong before I leave to go to work, I'm feeling good for at least 3 more hours solid. Just all-around good stuff I say.

Thanks, yeah I feel the T5's work great for veg. I've run plants in veg under the HID and yes the HID produces shorter, stockier, growth faster...but I don't want my girls growing very fast anyway due to the fact that I don't run perpetual but rather pull bumper crops every 2-3 months. That way my clones grow nice and slow while my girls in flower finish up and I can use less electricity and have much less heat to have to deal with. Then when the girls in flower are cut, I just move my 1 -2' clones over to the flower tent and everyone's happy...especially me!

Took a few more pics of the girls this morning right after lights went out. They are starting to swell up now, and they are practically dripping with trichomes. They look like if you squeezed a bud they'd squirt on you!

First 3 are of all of em, then 1 of the SS#5 (Beast pheno), then 2 of the HB colas.

8 - 9 weeks. I'm going to try to let them go as long as possible this time, but I figure about 9 weeks total. I don't think I'm going to have any that'll let me wait 10 weeks to take em down...should be 9 tops. They can totally come down after 8, but I want as much yield as possible and a little more body to the buzz. Plus this time I'm trying to flush the hell out of em before I chop em too.

they look amazing man...how much do u think "the beast" will yeild? thats a keeper for sure..
The SS Beast pheno yields pretty well, so prob about 1.5 zips per Beast would be a pretty accurate estimate. That's what it was last time, and this time I have the new bulb working in my favor as well so maybe it'll be closer to 2. But let's just say 1.5 a piece cause I think that's a very solid estimate. I did have a sativa pheno SS that yielded about 50 grams last time, and the flavor is better, but the Beast is more potent and the buds are denser. The Beast also finishes faster.

Maybe I should rename the Beast to something better...like Sasquatch! lol What do you guys think?

Good bro thanks for asking. Just trying to decide if I want to keep growing this HashBerry, or if I want to just let it die out. The buzz is pretty flat on it and I don't like the growth structure on it really. I LOVE my Super Skunk! I might start popping some more beans, looking for a stud to breed with the Sasquatch. I'm thinking AK47.

What you guys think...Super Skunk x AK47...sound good?

I've heard that about hashberry, too -- not a strong buzz. People like the taste and smoke and grow it solely for those qualities, but admit it doesn't have much punch..

I'm curious what your experience was in vegging the superskunks and then making the flip to 12/12. Did you wait for alternating internodes? A certain height? Or what? And then when you made the flip, how fast did they show sex, and how much did they stretch? (Sorry... I know this is probably all in your journal; just don't have time / patience to sift for it right now..).

Reason I ask is I'm getting pretty close to making the flip myself, and I know my bubblelicious will be ready in a week for sure. I know with some strains though, it's a waste of time and valuable veg / root growth to make the switch too early (ie. you don't get flowers any earlier, you just get slower veg growth until the plant is ready on its own). So, that's why I ask about your superskunk experience in particular. Thanks in advance...!

I just veg them until they are: 1) Showing multiple preflowers, and 2) are at least 16" tall. Then I flip em into 12/12. I never flower plants that have not shown sex yet, as you are correct in saying that it only prolongs the process and it also stresses the plants. I continuously pinch the faster growing top shoots on all the plants (keeping them the same height as the slower growing ones) until I put them into flower, which keeps the canopy the same height at all times (give or take a few inches). When they stretch I could LST a few of the taller branches to make a perfect canopy, but so far I've never really seen the need. When the canopy is even to within a few inches, light distribution is even and growth is more uniform.

Stretch was about 100% for the Super Skunks, the HashBerrys stretched to about 50% more of their original height.

Grow your plants until they show sex naturally, preferably under an 18/6 lighting regimen. If you do this you won't stress your plants causing hermies, your plants will start flowering earlier/faster, and you'll actually be done flowering most any indica or indica hybrid in 8 weeks flat.

Oh and Kriegs - Next time you should probably not use Miracle Grow anything, and I would start Phing my input water if I were you. They need it. There is a huge difference between 6.5 and 8.0. The harder the plants have to struggle to grow, the longer it takes to get to where you want to be. Your plants should be a lot bigger and fuller by now, and I really think the soil and the Ph is holding them back big time.

Here's a pic of my plants about 2 cycles ago exactly 30 days from seed (the canopy is uneven as hell because there were 3 different strains and multiple phenos of each at this point):
