I've run into the same thing, whenever I'm pushing plants hard with a lot of light they need sleep daily or they're always tired looking. Let them sleep and keep the temps in line and you're looking good man. I would ditch that parabolic or get the bulb in it like it's supposed to be. It's far too high off the bulb to reflect anything, just interfering with the heat rising where it is.

It's supposed to have the bulb right in the thing like a flashlight.

Alright. i will figure that out. Still vegging. Starting to crate a nice canopy around the light.......

It has taken numerous re arrangements and dozens of trashbags driven across town to make everything fit. Somewhat continual process!

It would be a good idea to wear white and wear dark shade sunglasses when you are working in there. Or use are green light and work in the dark. I cannot imagine how you deal with the brightness of a 1000w vertical. Must be like a sun.

My sunglasses are MIA. THink they got jacked out of the car. Bust out the good old white painters jumpsuit........ I know I have a few of those laying around. You see black spots when you come out of the room

sure got a lot of lights running there haha. u flowering out those plants under the flouro? just curious cuz it shares that cabinet tower u got goin on but wat bout photoperiods? if u have clones veggin and a couple flowering plants next to it or do u seperate them when the photoperiod flips?

Those 2 plants were getting chopped....... They were in there strictly as a place to go while overhauling. Thought I could capture the Purple on one of the flowering plants under those flouros. Didnt work very well....

Today Another good thing got accomplished in my room. Watering system
Materials:
2 inch submersible pump (w/ PVC reduction to 1"(garden hose))
Food grade plastic drum 55 gallon
Garden hose
water wand

I fill the 55 gallon drum from the water faucet at the washing machine. I put a splitter valve with on/off valves onto the cold water of the washing machine. The pump will go in the 55 gallon drum, and be hooked up to some of that fancy slinky type garden hose. A watering wand will be put on the end so I can turn the pump on and then use trigger on the watering wand to water the plants. No more hauling jugs around the house!

I will be getting the slinky type garden hose tomorrow, as well as the watering wand. And then I will be ready to go! Throw some air stones in there and Were good.

Thanks DGK! I got nothing but respect for you. Im gonna use a 10-20 gallon trashcan/ res thing to mix nutes in. So I will be pulling straight water out of the 55 gallon drum into a 10- 20 gallon res to mix the nutes, and then to the plants. Then I can keep the 55 gallons on hand all the time, rather than make 15 gallons of nutes at a time. and then fill again with water for the next watering.

Your damn right. I have been watering with a 1 gallon sprayer, and I have to refill it 5 times for my 8 plants. Its a joke and filling it is no easy task. This will be much easier.

I hear ya GTO. I am done with making my life harder. Sometimes I think I can get by doing something the hard way until I realize that I almost everyhting I do is the hard way. So little by little I am upgrading to make it simpler.

There ya go Brother. I use a 1/2 rubber hose tomy wand, works great. forntunatley my drum is sits about 15 feet higher than my room so my line comes out of the bottom and gravity feeds my wand, but the pump works too. You will be stoked at how easy it is to water them now. Very nice.

ice. SOunds like you have a nice setup. Gravity would be cool, but drilling a hole and sealing it makes me nervous with 50 gal of water. Im gonna wrap it up and test water some house plants....

Wonder, as anyone who's read my thread knows, I'm the king of leaky plumbing - that being said, I'm also kinda knowledgeable on how to fix it, and of all the things I've used, nothing works like aquarium sealant.

Go to Home Depot and get 1/2" fittings (actual "plumbing fittings" that are threaded, not just a plastic straight barb like they sell at the hydro store) and some 1/2" tubing, then go to Petsmart and get some aquarium sealant - guaranteed no leaks.

Also, just to let you know that I'm really working on my veg tent overhaul (although you won our race, fair and square) and not just playing poker all day, here's a couple of sneak peeks...........

I have the same barrel and watering wand setup and am looking for a better than normal hose, the one I have kinks badly where it meets the want because of the way it sits all the time and kinks in other spots too whenever I don't work at stopping that from happening.

I'd like a hose that can't kink, stays flexible, and moves around easily. I'm running maybe 15-20' of hose and always fighting with it.

Hey This is what I have in mind. It is called "coil hose" I will not be buying it at target, but will be pulling one off a pressure washer. I am figuring the pressure washer hose, will be heavier duty, as I cannot afford to many kinks and leaks....... Of course I wouldn't be using the sprayer nozzle pictured. I am going for a 3 foot watering wand with adjustable sprays and a on/off valve.
What do you think?

I am not gonna drill any holes in this for now. Running it out of the top is fine for my purposes. The pump I have is way overkill. I turned it on and it shot water from the bathtub straight into the ceiling without any sign of slowing down. I love it......
