Never,

Also with fimming, the result is turning the plant in to a giant bush, not really height control. LST is the best for height control cause it forces the plant to grow horizontal, not vertical, so if height control is the goal, tie that bitch down.

And Jig is right on with the crowding. My last grow I had some crowding issues, and the crowded buds are not dense at all. Next time I will know that more and more bud sites are only as good as the space and light you provide them.

Also, my SLH is a week old today so keep posting info as u get it and we can try to help each other out! If I ever decide to stop being a paranoid pussy maybe I'll post some pics.
thanks big. i knew about all that which is another reason why i don't plan on fimming. i do still want 4 main colas so will be topping. already familiar with LST for height control, used it generously in my first grow since that grow box was only about 3' tall. i think i can get away with 12 total main colas in my space if i properly manage my plants... at least i hope i can. haha

hey, i totally understand your paranoia about posting pics. but if you do decide to, i def want to see! it'll be great to see how our SLHs compare to each other throughout our grow. are you stoked or what?

i like your set up. its very clean. cleanliness is next to godliness. so do you think you can yeild more with the bubbleponics set up you have going now vs. a soil grow with bigger pots? just asking cause im about to finish up my cabinet and your setup looks pretty goodddddd

thanks sagensour. i really took my time building the cabinet and best thing about it is that it didn't cost me too much to build.

as for yield, i really have no idea as this is only my second time growing. plus i've never grown soil so i don't have anything to compare it too. but hey, i recommend you subscribe to jigfresh's journal where he is doing both hydro and soil.

I've been out of town for the last two days so was anxious to see the progress when I got back tonight. The Master Kush and Super Lemon Haze are about to sprout their second leaves. The White Widow, however... never even sprouted. I had a feeling this would happen considering that I could barely germinate this seed. I popped two more white widow seeds in a wet papertowel, she'll just be a little behind her sisters.

Both the MK and SLH are showing a little nute burn, not sure if you can see it in the pics. Looks like even the fraction of an amount (2.5 ml of floramicro) is too much for a seedling.

2. Super Lemon Haze

I am pretty much in a race with you, were tied at the moment...lol.

I started mine in soil and the clones will root in the the aerogarden then to DWC.

I might just stick a straight rooted clone in to flower cause...um...cause I can.

Ive got an OG Kush from seed that is about two weeks old, I will clone her when the time is right. Ive got three KC36 sprouts a week old two in the AG one in soil. Ive also got a 10 gallon DWC tub w/ 3 bagseed & 1 Nirvana AK48, a 5 gallon DWC bagseed both about 4 weeks in flower. Also a Nirvana Aurora Indica 5 weeks veg, a Nirvana Papaya 1 week in flower, and a few other bagseed in soil ready to progressively harvest over the next few weeks.

Holy crap Ive got my grow scattered in too many different directions. I've been messing around with different lights too...CFL's, 400w vs 600w etc. I know its not the most efficient way to use my space but its fun.

Ive got a few other strains from Attitude... how about some input on what flavor is next? (I dont mean to threadjack)
Big Buddha Blue Cheese, Big Buddha Cheisel, TH Seeds Wreckage(trainwreck x SAGE), Greenhouse Hawaiian Snow, Greenhouse LSD, barneys red cherry berry.

All three are progressing nicely. One thing I'm learning that's really convenient about starting seedlings in hydroponics is that there is very little maintenance needed. This is great for me considering the face that I have been traveling lately.

The SLH and MK are both starting to sprout their second set of leaves and showing no new signs of nute burn.

One of the two White Widow seeds had cracked when I checked on it after work yesterday. When I got home at Noon today, the tap root had already grown close to 1" so I've transplanted the seed to DWC. She's about a week behind the other two, no biggie.

I will let the SLH and MK grow in the current nute mix for about another week and the WW for another two weeks. After that, I will be bumping up the amount of nutes.

The temp of the box is at about 80 degrees when the lights are on and about 70 degrees when lights are off.

Will be away this weekend and will post up pics when I'm back on Sunday.

Hey never...you never told me which of those strains I should do next....Im leaning toward the blue cheese or red cherry berry.

Yo my vote is for Hawaiian Snow as well. That wreckage sounds good too. Man... they all sound like the best of the best.

NS, real glad the seedlings are working out for you... it's nice to have something be low maintinance.

:peace:

All three are doing well and are growing at about the same pace as my previous grow. Autumn has hit the area big and temperatures have finally dropped. So my grow box temps have dropped to about 70-75 degrees with lights on and about 60-65 with lights off.

The white widow seedling sprouted over the weekend and is growing strong

The master kush is doing really well and looking really healthy.

As for the super lemon haze, something funky happened with her. I noticed this from the first true leaves, but it looks like one of the first true leaves was ripped when she grew in. That ripped leaf ended up growing into two separate leaves, with that second leaf being part of the second set of leaves... if this makes any sense. Take a look at the pic below and you'll see what I'm saying. But she has the best roots so far so I'm not too worried.

I hope this won't affect my plans for topping to get 4 main colas.

I plan on increasing the nute strength for the SLH and MK later this week.

Yo, everything looks great! I might be wrong, but i really wouldnt worry about the SLH to much. Whatever happened, im sure it wont be an issue as growth continues. Your set up looks cleannnnnn. Im liken it a lot. Might have to copy you again on my next grow haha.

All three are growing nicely. The SLH is a gnarly looking little girl right now, but I'm sure she'll turn out like a normal looking plant. Take a look at the pic below and let me know if you've seen anything like this before. The roots on the SLH are really coming through and they're just starting to poke through for the MK. The SLH and MK will have their reservoirs changed out tomorrow.

I made the nute soup tonight. I used just under GH's recommended mixture of 2.5 ml per gallon of each of the three nutes. I also added approximately 8 ml per gallon of Hygrozyme. The nute soup measured out to be approximately 250 ppm (after considering the ppm of my tap water). I got the pH to about 5.5.

Temp in the box is at about 75 with lights on and 65 with lights off.

For good karma, I really need to sit down and think about some good names for these girls. I'll have them named by this weekend.

2. masterkush
3. super lemon haaaaaze
4. white widow

yeah, i'm not too worried. nature has a strange way of fixing itself, which is what i think the lil girl did. her leaf ripped so she decided to grow that into two leaves instead of one. too bad you can do that with women. ;)

yeah, i'm just trying to give my girls a nice environment to grow in. works well with my space limitations, but hope the cabinet is tall enough. if you want specs, you just let me know, haha.
