I've still yet to see any proof that grapefruit actually does convert the DXM. Sounds like the LSA -> LSH theory.

Anyway, had a great experience on Saturday night with dxm. Had 600mg, didn't really get much from it, then about 3 hours later I got some good weed and had about a joint. I was completely fucked from after the first puff, insane hallucinations, like that I was walking up a wall.

I have a friend that knows a guy that is a chemist that loves DXM and he learned how to extract it himself into pure DXM pills. I think they are like 10 mg each? or does that sound too small. Not sure.

My friend took one and he sounded pretty high for like 6 hours. Is DXM different from the "psychedelic experience" you would get from say acid or shrooms? My friend has never done other psychedelics so when I asked him to describe his visuals, he just said he had them. I think he mostly enjoyed the dissociative affects of it. I've read its more comparable to ketamine or PCP.

Yeah at very high doses are compared to ketamine or PCP. 600mg is much at all. I doubt the other kid was hallucinating. You wont get dissociative till high 3rd-to 4th plateau.
DXM is amazing.

I've had hallucinations after 600mg plus one joint. DXM works best if you have something to set it off IMO.

in my experience the grapefruit definitely does something, makes it more of a personal buzz, puts you more in a state where you dont say anything and just sit there "mindwalking" where with it by itself it can end up more of a party buzz depends if you just want a mean buzz or if your trying to reach places you havent before

I made 12 brownies out of an ounce of weed, I ate 1 1/2 brownies, and then took 600 mg of DXM. It completely balanced out, and I feel so great and pumped its fucking weird like a new drug. I would advise to try this one time, ive done DXM at least 25 times, and this has been my most controlled and balanced trip.

And whats with all this talk about hallucinations, the most I've ever taken was about 900 mg+ - 1100, and I took a few huge gravity bong hits and all I was seeing was pink dots appearing everywhere and a good amount of dissociation. (I weigh 170)

Okay, I just had the most life changing experience ever. I realized everything I was doing wrong. I talked to my friend about my life, and how I can change it. I am a completely new person, with goals and a future.

That sucks you dont halucinate of DXM, i have basically every time, the hardest ive ever tripped i took grapefruit with it, and i was so fucked i could feel and see demons and monsters pulling me away into another world laughing at me, they were all there like a kid had drawn them with crayons i also saw constant spiders, centipedes and it didnt stop getting stronger until i went to sleep. Im from New Zealand btw, do you guys get Vikks formula 44 dry cough over in U.S?

Yes we do but its more exspensive then most..doesnt really matter what you ingest for your DXM as long as its the only active ingredient. Ive never hallucinated off DXM either but Ive had some quite amazing trips. Deffinatley 50-100 times mwahahaha. Havent done it in atleast a month though..I think its about time though.

I usually just do the robogels.. Have any of you ever used a Brainwave flasher while on a DXM trip, apparently it's another level.. I didn't even know about it until a few days ago, I actually tried it while sober (I guess I was high?) and that shit FUCKING WORKS. Basically depending on the frequency it puts you your mind in a certain state, http://www.grahamenglish.net/brainwaveflasher.html, try 4 Hz, (not sure how the colors effect it?), so just leave it on white, and you will be in a meditative state if you completely put yourself in a relaxed state and stare at it for a few minutes. I tried 4 Hz and it completely zoned me out, and I was like a zombie staring at it for 5 minutes, and when I turned it off, I was thinking of the deepest things and my mind reached levels within itself I never knew existed, and when I tried 2 Hz it was such a meditative state, thinking was absoloutely AMAZING and I am going to have to do it everytime I write a paper, because it completely expanded my mind.
Just try the 4 Hz while you are sober, and see what I am talking about! it's amazing.
And apparently when you do it with DXM it takes you to another universe.

My first time dxm dose was a full bottle [4oz] of robitussin [cough]
then a couple joints
first thing that hit me was the dxm but it worked slowly
after the weed it began to intensify not by much though
i eventually popped in pineapple express and halfway through it began to skip i flipped out and lit the disc on fire
then sat in my computer chair for the next hour listening to jeezys The Inspiration
when i luv it came on the bass intensifyed as i turned it up
then 2 hours later i felt an extreme iching all over my body
it was horrible i showered and it went away then started again briefly then vanished never to return
the next 10 hour were great it was like i was stoned like fuck and had just polished off a pint of 151
but i hadnt even drank it was great

In conclusion:
Despite the rash,DXM is an amazing drug and i look forward to using it again in a higher dose i want to reach 4th plataeu
still havent actually "tripped" yet,but i hope the 2nd time is the charm
I recommend to try at least once

I will say it again... dissociatives are is one messy business to the mind!

I have tried DXM TWICE... and both times they were very nasty trips that croaked out a terrible body high... mY body did not feel my own... like the impulses that controlled my movements were generated by one big computer that made walking almost robot like. THUS, the term ROBO-TRIPPING!

My buddy was the one who read numerous trip reports on erowid and they sound like lightspeeds of fun... so my great pal went to the local pharmacy and bought a bottle of Robitussin Maximum Strength and I drank the whole bottle... dont remember the oz contained... but a medium size bottle... and chilled with my buddy for a hr before retreating home... once home, a half hr into it... I felt extremely hot... moreso than a comeup of a good dose mdma trip! the hotness triggered me to get up and fan myself... I felt slightly stimulanted and my heart raced a bit! I felt out of wack like a drank 2 40ozs and my coordination was far gone. The mind/social state felt extremely miserable! I couldn't function and my perception of reality was mashup moreso than any other mushroom trip I've been involved in. I felt sick and nauseous and no enlightenment ever occured. The dissociation was all their and the name of its function was amplified to severity. This persisted for another 6hrs or so... where my mind slowly healed... my speech was deeply slurred and my vision was tunneled... Im not sure where you guys find solace in this?

DXM CONTAIN IN COUGH SYRUPS IS NOT THE ROUTE TO GO!

pure dxm on the other hand is a whole different story! I love to broaden my mind not make it the size of a grapefruit. MY advice stay far away.

I was always under the impression it was called robo-tripping due to the twitchy, jolty, robot-like movements made on higher dosages. If robo-tripping is short for robitussin, then properly we need to rename it to Dextromethorphan-Tripping (or Dextro-Tripping for short), no?
