First Closet Grow (CFL) (Pics)

CFL or HPS, they each grow the plant, so what does it matter? anyways, sounds good man, i dont think bringing them in and out is a bad idea, i would do the same, the sun is much better the CFL's, but they get the job done too

Normally with Cloneing, it takes about two weeks for them to root, but people usually have cloning stations, in which you can just lift th plants, and checc for the root's, yours were strait into soil right? i would give give em time

Alright here is an update with some actual growth!!

The bigger sativa is looking really hairy and the moby dick has almost doubled

I installed a bathroom fan to pull the air out. 2 computer fans pull fresh air from the bottom in.

Oh forgot to mention I switched it to 12/12 a few days ago... Pics 4 -5 - 7 are of the MD rest are the sativa

I'd thought about moving mine outdoors during daylight, but I wouldn't be able to carry them in and out every day. Some days, but it'd be too unpredictable. Oh well, I intend on growing a few in sunlight next year.

Thanks And yeah I have been alittle late some days but nothing close to enough to stress them. It seems to be working really good. I plan on flowering most of my grows this way. The 11 are on 12/12 so i'm thinking they might be done a little after that big one gets harvested

Yeah SICC the MD REALLY stretched out in the past 4 days.... I'm a bit worried because it is having a rough time supporting the leafs so I know the buds will be a problem. If it's a SHE and not a HE. Either way it gives me an opportunity, if it's a female i get some good smoke and the 6 clones i have will go into the 12/12 cab for some more smoke haha. If it turns out to be male i will still grow it out to get some pollen for some breeding. If i did the big sativa with the MD it would be mostly sativa which is what i am going for lol. I'm happy either way. Thanks for hanging out man

Im pretty sure the MD is a female, they usually yellow a lil bit in the middle, where the bud sites will be forming, she should show in about a week or so, cloudy today tho, kinda cold, i want the sun to be out, i have been giving my seedling some sun lately, a mix of the MD and sative would be great, the MD stayed pretty low and stocky

Which branches should I trim to help the bigger colas grow?

I attached a few pics if anyone could point out which branches to clip off I would really appreciate that

An old friend of mine got a seed from a clinic he goes to and planted it in the dirt. He didn't know it was going to grow and doesn't have any kind of setup for growing so he gave the little sproutling to me. It is an 11 day old Super Silver Kush plant. It was stretched a bit so I put some more soil in the container to shorten the stalk a bit. It's under 24/7 CFLs at the moment and I will more than likely be taking it outside to get a little bit of the cooler rays from the sun.

I would just trim all those lil baby lookin leaves, then post another pic, its a damn bush haha

Yeah they are sleeping right now, tomorrow when I get up I will trim all those little ones off and post some more pics, I read on here that if you cut off the smaller bud sites the bigger ones get bigger and it sometimes helps the quality of the smoke. Dunno never tried it but hell I hadn't done half the things I have done now before coming to this site haha

Also do you know what hermie pre flowers would look like? One of the preflowers opened on the MD and it has two white hairs. None of the others have opened and I was alittle worried. So I guess this means it's female, I was just so sure it was going to be male it's hard to believe haha

it sounds like it was just swollen, sometimes people think those are ball, and the cut down the plant, there is only male and female pre flowers, if you have a hermie, a couple weeks into flowering or when ever it happens, you will see both hairs forming, and pollen sacs, alot of times the hermies look like lil bananas haha

And a hermie would produce buds right, It would just be full of seeds? Or how does that work? Never had a hermie plant yet lol.

Yea it will produce buds, with pollen sacs, not seeds, but as they get older, the hermie basically pollinates it self, it has both the male and female make up, kinda nasty ahaha
