The results of this contest on another message board resulted in yields 1 - 2 grams. I don't think any were 3 or more grams.

But, if a real technique and FAQ could be developed. Some people only smoke a gram every other month or so. It's an occasional thing for them, so growing a small plant (w/o a whole grow room setup) would be a good idea. I don't think a 1 gram plant would be worth it, but if minimum people can get 1/8th using FAQ guidelines, then it could be worth it for the occasional smoker.

Question about root pruning. I can understand that doing so could be traumatic to a plant, so I don't want to do it until it is sexed...but is it something I could do while it is flowering? Is it more risk that it is worth?

i think u will do more damage than what is intended
they do root pruning on large trees that r being transplanted
i dont think it would be very sufficient in this case

Little update on mine. I took these pictures last night. My clone has started to flower. I can see calyxs and pistals and the bud starting to form on the top. Nice just under a week to go into flowering. This mother is about 6 months old so the clones almost always go right into flower as soon as they hit 12/12.

My seedling on the other hand has had a rough start. Broke the tap root(not even sure how that happen), and when it finally came out of the soil it just layed down on the soil like it was weak and dying. The shell of the seed was stuck on the seedling for 2 days while it layed down. So I helped it out and pulled the shell off. It perked right up then, but the cotyledons are already turning yellow. So this seedling has had a rough start. It has started to get it's second set of leaves so I guess thats a good sign.

Up she came!

I didn't germinate the seed, just planted and watered. Germinating before planting is overrated, good seeds have everything they need to grow. I've had better results by just planting and watering.

Seeds in nature self-germinate.

It started in Miracle Grow, which I'm sure there was some still clinging to the roots. Other than that, it's in Scotts top soil. I let the water sit out to lower the ph. If the ph is too high, is there any simple technique that doesn't involve purchasing another product right now? (I'm so broke!!)
Hope I'm not too late in my response, but DON'T try to adjust your soil ph, you'll jusk kill the plant. I tried to adjust my PH in one of my soil grow plants and killed the fuck out of it. Leave it alone, and try not to over or under water it. :wall:

Yesterday morning, I watered it with a substanital amount of water, that was bottled that I read had a ph of 5, figuring it would kinda flush out the soil. This morning it still isn't dry.

The large leaves have reddish burns on them (maybe too close to the light?) but those are facing the sides because of the curling. The fan leaves that are developing now, they are coming out very curly (downward).

I plan on adding Sweet Grape when I get mine, maybe it's lacking in a nute.

EDIT: What is the closest I can have it to a single CFL?

gotta think bigger.

think about how little space that shot glass takes.

what if you did a 100 1.5-oz shot glass SOG? thats a solid 100-200 grams of baby nugs :D
