SoG Grow Room Discussion

LB should sog be careful mixing rhizo and roots exl?? -just throwing it out there.

76 is not ideal and wont hold as much oxygen as slightly lower temps, but i would be okay at that temp... BUT im not doing DWC which probably factors in.... I'm sure loud could tell u how to remedy the sitch if needed.

i would hope SOG isnt wasting money like that by using Rhizotonic and Roots Excellator, i already told him, one or the other.

Roots excellator is better than Rhizotonic as its more concentrated and the application ratio to gallon is bucoo lower at 1.1mL per gallon ratio compared to Rhizo's 15mL per gallon ratio. NOT TO MENTION, have i said it rids root rot? OMG is it magic? lol :p

Mixing the two wouldnt cancel each other out, i would think you would just be wasting some good quality nute and root stimulators along with wasting money :p

76F IS IDEAL! but that is IN REFERENCE to cloning. he is force air injecting his res to get DWC, so his DO doesnt matter.... as long as he changes out the res every serveral days. Clones like to root in a slightly higher temp than regular hydroponic and aeroponic plant.

gonna move them to a different location
then throw one of my chilling cubes in there

I'm not mixing rhizo and exel
i figured since I'm starting a new round
ill need more rhizo any way soon
cut my loss and went with exel

:joint::peace:
why?

cut your losses with RHizo :fire::fire:

*knocks on monitor* R U LISTENING???!!!

GO WITH ROOTS EXCELLATOR!!! :p

dont blv me? give a just rooting clone some rhizotonic and give another just rooting clone some roots excellator and see which you like better. THEN compare application ratio compared to Rhizo's 15mL per gallon to H&G Roots Excell 1.1mL per gallon.

then measure cost factor

: x

However,

i get puzzled as i plan on keeping at least a 250-500mL bottle on hand for foilar feeding for stress or whatever.

As im not sure if Roots Excellator has that feature. i know it pwns all root stimulators from Hygrozyme to Rhizotonic, to all that shit.

But i guess if root stimulators are all stress relievers.... Rhizotonic can kiss its ass goodbye (from my nute closet anyway)

im gunna try roots exl. next time... slowly but surely i seem to be switching from Canna to H&G one product at a time... and so far i have been really happy. I'll post the results between Rhizo and Roots Exl. when i do my next round... it's a obvious choice if root rot is a concern, but i'll let everyone know the results as far as root mass goes.

im referring to if you think House & Garden Roots Excellator has the stress relieving feature as Rhizotonic?

dont know how to test that exactly.....lol

im sure it should though.

Jberry, your thoughts on this?
ive heard a million great things about roots exl being the shit but ive never heard anyone say its a great stress reliever or foliar spray... I HAVE and know that Rhizo is a GREAT stress reliever and does wonders in a foliar application.

maybe get a small bottle of rhizo for special situations is what i'll probably do if the roots exl. ends up triumphing the rhizo... actually i have a pretty full 5 liter of rhizo so i'll probably just save some of that for the rare foliar feed or transplants... idk, both products are well liked with great reviews. Sounds like roots exl is a must for the DWC grower.

yea that was my idea too to just get a 250-500mL bottle whenever i run out of my 5L and just foilar feed.

however i dont have many stressed plants neither do i transplant.... so i dont know if i would be wasting money.

just like you, i have used RHizo and i have saw the stress relieving...however i havent heard anybody say that about Roots Excellator..... but i guess that doesnt mean shit. Maybe its already expected lol. and people think it should already be a feature now and days....

but when it comes to the hydroponic res? ya damn skippy, im only going with Roots Excellator!

i mentioned Great White to you in a PM i sent u a while back... Great White and Vermicrop Tea changed my life... lol... seriously tho, highly recommended!!!!... yields went up!
yea ya did

but you never told me what it was ya asshat :p

i guess that was your way of making me go learn...if so...thank you. thank you alot sir

i've been doing some reading learning and concluding, i'm seeing the light.

increased root surface area. (same principle that those air filters used on cold air intake work on and my garden carbon filter)

same roots but hairs and all that multiply surface area.

then increase nute uptake? i've read that using this product; Great White that you can decrease nute load because of the increase uptake and root surface area, you can BURN your plants.... WOW.... talk about saving on nute cost.

not only that but its made for hydro and other mediums too? i think imma be fucking hooked and i aint even snorted a line yet :shhh: :fire: jk :weed:

OH YEA!!!! and House & garden even recommends inoculating your gardens. they sell Bacto Force back at their home country....however they cant import so they recommend Great White!!!!

thought u would know about it since your all into H&G and they do recommend it as u said. but yea, i kinda got the vibe you werent taking me serious :fire: or maybe you werent impressed with my figures :fire:

works wonders in coco... its not that cheap (nothin is in this industry) but i believe its well worth it. In the coco it will colonize nicely, not sure how well it works when you dont have a medium to build up a colony in but i heard that it is still quite helpful. Also, ive seen these netted bags of coco or something at the hydro shop that are for putting in your rez so the microlife have a place to build/colonize.

look into the vermicrop tea, if your already using great white than you dont have to use it very often and you can just buy the refrigerated pre-mixed bags they sell (1/2 gallon bag makes 25 gallons of tea)... avoid buying the $500. vermicrop tea extractor/brewer thing they sell unless you want to use vermicrop exclusively and ditch the great white. The tea is probably slightly better but it is a pain in the ass when compared to great white.

u can also sprinkle vermi crop soil ammendment to the top of your coco but fungus gnates really love the stuff even more so than coco if thats possible?

i use both products, but on different weeks/days and i'm off the vermicrop soil amendments, except its nice to put a little on the mommy's every month or two.

sorry if im glogging the thread sog, maybe you want some great white too?

no i heard you, but like i said, i had no idea you just said great white you didnt elaborate....gotta remember imma stoner too...gotta dumb it down sometimes.

i used to rock with coco pots filled with canna coco in hydro and aero/nft setups, but i dont do it anymore... i dont rock with any medium.

even though there is no medium, it will still do its thing.

i've heard gh subculture m and b, and guardian my..... i heard Great White smashes ALL that shit. plus i rather buy one product anyway....so i dont have no problem dropping $220 for 32oz

and ewwwww i aint fucking with NONE of that vermi crop in my hydro neither my coco

this is why i've switched to House & Garden.... i blv organic shit is exploited. and they also exploit growers.

i want chem. if my additives are 'organic' so be it, but i dont go after the marketing hype.

Since switching to House & Garden, with my Aqua Flakes, i dont even need cal/mag.... I'll be able to tell you about coco plants in another few days. Also, i've been doing some reading Algen Extract helps with cal/mag IFFFF you need some. its a seaweed or some shit.

I plan on seriously downsizing, i have way too many additives. Cal/mag, sm90, cannazym, rhizotonic, h2o2, hammerhead pk 9/18, pk 13/14

ALL THAT SHIT, im trying to get rid of!!!! TOooooo much shit. Root Excellator already cancels out 4 of nutes (sm90 or hydroguard if i wanted, it can be used like h2o2, almost like a minime physan 20 in reference to ridding root rot or preventative maintenance)

multizym/multizyn is supposed to be like cannazym...on the fence.

budXL, shooting powder and top booster will make me leave hammerhead, pk13/14 on the shelf

got a new dwc container ready (FYI: white flood table $14.99 at IKEA ;))
flushed my res and tools with Oxy Blast

I'm thinking to run a tap water flush on the girls; just for a few hours
mixed with Oxy Blast at 4ml H2O2 per 1 gallon water
then flush again and reload nutes and root exel

from what i understand,
H2O2 will instantly kill the pathogens
but cannot be run with organic nutrients

what do you guys think, LB? J?
can i run this first; as a pathogens treatment?

quick Oxy blast question
after i run the mixed water with the high concentrated Oxy for sterilization
i let it sit for a half hour, then drain it
do i still need to rinse everything with tap water
i though the H2O2 will completely evaporate eventually

good morning sog. hows it going. i have cleaned my res with h2o2 and then pure water then empty and dried it out good and let it sit for a few hrs. and i was fine. but i dont know how long it would stay in the root system

i've completely switch from depending on h2o2 to only using it with cleaning lines or sterilizing cutting/pruning tools.

having said that. i would think you are doing 1 extra step you may need not to, which is running the plain water with a h2o2 mixture, while im sure it cant hurt (use hurt lightly as h2o2 'hurt' any bacteria in the res, naturally around fungi/bacteria around the roots to the bad cooties trying to take over) i would think its just wasting product (your oxyblast)

the root excellator WILL work.... just let it do its job.

thirdly... h2o2 doesnt exactly kill all, end all. It just oxidizes shit which in turn 'inhibits' it...but it can still come back especially if solely using h2o2

fourth, you are correct. oxyblast will waste your money spent as if i recall...you are working with Pure Blend Pro? and mostly all of their stuff is 'organic based'.... you would be spending money (oxyblast) to kill your other monies (Pure Blend Pro)

as for your last question in reference to rinsing after the highly concentrated solution.... yes, i would rinse everything off...just a rinse should do....drying imho isnt necessary as you will refill with fresh water anyway and the h2o2 concentration will be diluted as soon as
