I came home after work today with all the supplies needed to build a nice deep water culture for my grow room which was in my basement.... I open the trap door to my basement Grow room and Gast!!! I could not believe my eyes..As I went To Pull My Ladder Up Something looked Odd....I Have 4 Feet of Water In My grow room I Freaked Out And Peeked My Head Down the Hole And Sure As Shit My 150w HPS light Was still Glowing 3 feet Under Water(not joking) My Cfl's appear to be burnt out as I coulden't see their light... Its Just started raining this afternoon and is not supposed to stop till this weekend I Think This Grow Operation Of mine Is fucked For The Moment Though I Still Have Some Hopes To recover My HPS light When the water settels. Just Figured I'd Share My News As There Is no one Else Who I talk to About My "Room"

No There Floating SomeWhere in my Basement I Fear Electocution From The Shit Down There So I HAVE to wait Till It Dries Out It's Killing Me to Think About It

that sucks.. there goes ur plants.. hope u can cut the electricity to ur basement might start a fire

That really sucks man, i feel your pain. Did you lose any plants? maybe if your lights are fucked you could throw the plants outdoors for a bit. I have plants outdoors and i complained about rain all june but since then the weather has been beautiful. Good luck!

Ya it sucks about your op but damn your light works under water!!!! Anyone elses would of exploded!!!
BTW you might want to cut the power to the lights and so forth down there.

And Ya That's What I Said The HPS Light Was Still Blazing Strong With No Shield Nothing 3 Feet of water at Least I Thout It Would Of blown Too Just Crazyness Today

This Is really not clean water more than half of my basement is just dirt floor more like a very large crawl space Its Not worth the plants They'll haft to be stared anew

thats rough! and im with you guys in saying WOW to the HPS light operating fine under 3' of H2O.
It's most unfortunate, but you got to see an HPS light working under water, that's not something many can say they witnessed and didnt have to run out of the building to dodge fire/electricution.
I hope your next grow goes better for you!

At least you know your light connections are water tight.:weed: That must have looked crazy!! And been a little scary with the power issue. That some deep water culture. Best of luck starting anew.

I dont believe you, sry..lol. Gonna have to call BS on this story lol.. The OP prolly just got paranoid and decided to make up some story about his plants getting killed etc.. You see at least 1-2 of these kind of threads each month lol. An HPS still lit underwater? Cmon man.. Seriously.I could be wrong, but I dont think so, lol.

In Retrospect I should Have Taken A pic Of That Light Under Water I Still Find That Hard To Believe..... And Does Anyone Know Any Tasty Fruity Ultra high Ceiling Type Plant Variety Seed For My Next Grow... Ultra High Ceiling Being More Important....
