Pot is destorying my life (got a raise today)

I find myself smoking before work, at lunch and when I get home and guess what, I have been doing so good at work they gave me a pretty big raise. They also moved me up to a position where I can start the climb up the ladder (not a big place either, small company).

By FAR I get the most done in my little home office/shed (my wife banned me from smoking inside so I built an office out in my shed). I have a terminal to repair computers, remote access to my entire network, VOIP access...all of it.

My boss is the type that could care less what or how I do my job or how long it takes, he gives me tasks, I do tasks and then he gives my wife a check. My hours have gone from mon-fri 8-5 to whenever I want which is nice because it means I can wake up early and get my whole "work" day done by like noon.

Overall my wife and I are in a tight financial spot because she decided to go back to school. As of right now she is done and has an apprenticeship which means another 6 months or so of $8 an hour but it beats single income. After this raise we will be back in a MUCH better place. We have a little bit of debt from a little vacation she HAD to have for her mental health but nothing we won't have paid off in 6 months (not to mention we shifted it to a 0% for 12 months card).

So here I am, someone who smokes 3 times a day and probably goes through 3 oz a month living the suburban dream. I am >25, making great cash, getting ready to sell my starter house for a great profit and build one most people twice my age could not afford. Man it is good to be young and smart.....

Hmm I thought this thread was gonna be about someone blaming weed for their personal problems. lol

Dude, if you can afford that at under 25 years old your doing awesome. I'm still stuck on a 5 grams a week budget :P

lifes good, I just got a raise from $16 to $18.50/hr and all because my boss says I'm being more productive now than ever before. Funny thing is though that I've only recently started to go to work stoned / smoking at work.

they say money can't buy happiness, whoever said that didn't have any. Pretty sure I'd have alot less worries if I won the lottery ;)

naw man, think about it. if you won the lotto, everyone you ever knew would be asking for handouts, people would try and scheem and scam you. not to mention youd pay like 1/5 of your winnings as taxes to the state

money=stress as far as im concerned

congrats man!!!!
enjoy the money
remember more money = more weed :D

Not really, I buy weed with side money I make doing all kinds of stuff. I have always been an entrepreneur and make anywhere from $200 to $1000 a month doing mostly computer work. I would feel bad going to the ATM and using "our" money to buy bud. It is all about priorities for me, weed=recreation and if I don't have money for recreation then I don't spend it (most of the time...lol).

1) I keep a tight-knit group of friends, and I wouldn't mind spreading the wealth with them

2) Here in canada, Lottery winnings are tax-free :P

I can't find any mids. All I ever seem to get is the AAA hash-plant strains. I wish I could find some lower-grade cheaper stuff so I could smoke more :P

id take the constant baggering and 4/5 of MILLIONS of dollars any day over harrassment from people youre in debt to, worrying about things being shut off, worrying about how youre going to pay for your next meal, and worrying about gas to get to work just make minimum wage to barely stay behind on your bills.
