Good new for me Bubbleheads! Picked up a 400 from HTG with a 6" cool tube for under $200. Planning on doing a grow off vs. the BP as soon as I figure out a few particulars on placement, air flow and cooling, etc, etc, etc. I was also the kid who would pick at my scabs. I was such a noob then! LOL!

Nope, did go to the local hydro store to pick up some misc. parts this Saturday. Figured out why I buy on-line. Geez those guys are high priced. Good for emergencies but that's about it.

I'll be done with this grow in 3 weeks or less. Should be about 3 weeks yet for the LSD but I checked the trichs this morning and I'm already getting cloudy. It's still like a kid waiting for Christmas! Maybe I'm just an adreneline junkie after all! LOL!

I got a brand new 400 hps for 100$ ballast bulb and reg reflector. I think it was a good deal!

Heres some pics of the ladies i think the bagseed might have been more sativa dominant. Its barely showing flowers and its a good 10'' taller than the other ones . It just looks different all the way around and it has a much stronger skunk smell.

200 bucks is a stellar deal for that. wait. bulb too?

I've experimented with both and found that cfls beat the hps not in yield but definitely in ease of use. I'm liking my cfl's but I'm expanding one more box which I will use my 400 hps just so my wife doesn't make me sell it when she wants some extra cash LOL!


oh and I am sooo out of smoke today! now I don't know where the hell to go and buy it so...... I guess I'm just gonna be an asshole the next 6 weeks untill my crop is done.

CHKN - Did you get it from HTG? I got ballast, upgraded to the grow brite bulb 55,000 lumens ($10) and 6' cool tube upgrade for less than $200. Shipping is high but includes tracking which is a big plus.

Funny how the plant with the widest leaves has that Sativa pheno. Maybe she is just a monster!

Yep, bulb too. The whole works. Cord set and all. Also bought a 265cfm squirrel cage for venting ($99 - average price at best) and other misc parts. Spent about $400 for everything including shipping. I bought the 250watt version about 6 months ago and it has paid for itself many times over. Just plowing that money saved on bud back into the grow. Boys and their toys! Oh, did I tell you it took me about a month to decide and that is a lifetime for me! I'm usually an informed inpulse buyer! My seed collection would prove it! LOL

MC for 265 cfm I would use a duct booster fan available at the home depot for 35 bones.......... not pretty but effective. those run about 250 cfm and you have to wire it yourself, but if your a pot head on this board that isn't a problem.

but I am jealous of all people with the cool squirrel cage fans. maybe I will get one myself for said new box.

Not sure those duct boosters are the same but I guess 265 is 265! Got another spot picked out for intake and I might use something like that there if an open door ever becomes a problem. My Dad was an eletrician on the railroad but that gene skipped right over me! However I'm sure I can get help if needed on RIU. You know you're in trouble when the wife asks if the blower comes in white! LOL!

ha ha ha. my wife tends to say. whatever you want dear. but I have seen them in white. I will tell you the difference in the two,

the squirrel cage has a load rating. which means it can be used to pull air through a filter. a fan without a load rating like the booster fan will not pull air through a filter and will likely burn up from trying. so boosters are great for ventilation ducts and cool tubes but not carbon filters. I wish I would have known that when I first started growing.

Its funny i found it on craigslist I met up with the gut and it was still in the delivery box never opened, Yeah it is from htg i even got 2 bottle opener lighters . I tried to order a 600 watt andd a grow tent from them and my funds got put on hold and all kinds of crap. I never did get the stuff either. But my money was refunded and the wife made sure it didnt go to waste. Do you guys know of any good grow tents that wont break the bank?

Scroll to the bottom and check out the seconds of the homebox. I bought a seconds and cant tell that it is a dull white. Just a heads up though there is a delay with the growlabs new products, silver lining on the inside of the tent. Everest garden supply (makers of growlab) drop shipped my order from BGH. Great service!

So you think if I hook it up to the cool tube it will pull the hot air out of the rest of the area. Right now I keep the door open a bit to keep my current area cool without any attic ventilation. The 265 is oversized for my grow area roughly 4x6x7. Go large or go home when it comes to ventilation!

I was looking at the growlab 80l....Looks perfect for what I need...I'm sure with a cooltube on my 400 and a decent fan would keep it nice and cool right

Thanks bro. Your plants look great as well. It looks like you ran into the same problem as me as far as running out of space for them. I think 2 would have been perfect in my tent 3 just kinda smothered them.
