any one have a time estimate of flowering , i had it in 12/12 since 06/21/09 and she showed sex 07/10/09 and its going on like 31 days of 12/12 and 12 days since she showed sex. but no buds are forming just pistils, and can anyone guess the possible yeild, ill give reps to people . pics below oh and i flowered her at 20 inches and shes 42 inches now and still growing upward. sativa dominant

im using a 430w super argo hps light which is 3 inches above the plant, its been toped at 20 inches, and im using techiflora nutes with sugar daddy

Typical sativa, could stretch another 20" before she's ready to bud IMO.

Hard to guess yield without knowing the details of your setup. I'd guess the following:

250 watt HPS: 100 grams
400 watt HPS: 200 grams
600 watt HPS: 300 grams

Notice the trend, LOL?

Wish I had my camera here so you could see a comparison...
I have a sativa dom (bagseed) that is about two weeks ahead of yours on 12/12 (since June 5). Vegged and first four weeks of flower with T5s above and also hanging vertically on the walls, but now have the 600W HPS on them. Even with just the T5s, I still had wayyy more bud action. Now that the HPSs are on, it's getting REALLY thick.

What kind of lighting are you using? No offense, but it appears that your baby is going to be on the "bud-lite" side.

should have topped it and tried lst, my guess maybe 100-150 grams, but you need to get the lights as close as possible and mix the light with both cool and warm light, it will make for higher quality buds

i toped it at 20 inches and its still growing man upwards and the light is like 3 inches away from it and it grows right into it . and im using straight hps light

IDK, looks like a typical stretchy sativa to me. Are you running out of head room?

Under a 430 watt-er you're probably going to get most of your bud production on the top 1/4 of the plant, so you want to make sure you maximize the bud sites there. That's one of the problems growing tall stretchy sativa's, most of the growth is wasted. In my opinion you still got time to pull down the tops (LST) to maximize the amount of canopy exposed to the light, or throw in some cfl's for side light. I still think you can get 200 grams out of her...pump that bitch! :hump:

Ahh - somehow I missed the "42 inches" part. My sativa finally stopped growing upwards at about 6 feet from the soil. Put her in 12/12 at aprox. 14 inches, and she just kept on goin' till she hit the 6 foot mark...every day was aprox. 2+ inches of growth.

I'd be willing to bet once she has quit reaching for the sky, those nugs will fill out real nice! She DOES look healthy.

I wish I would've topped mine at this point, but I wanted to see what she would do by herself. I plan on experimenting with fimming on the next grow.

i dont want to break her by trying to lst her because shes pretty thick her stalk is like 2 shapries thick an the bottom and middle is like 1 1/2 sharpies thick so it will snap if i try and lst it i was thinking about having the light hang on the side of the plant and head room i got like 2 feet left of that and the room is reflective as well so i dont think i need side lights and i had cfl`s on the side and it aint show any difference, plus i lolipoped her as well

Cool. Basically, what I'm saying is that your light has about 18" of useful penetration before the lumens drop off too much to generate good bud. Reflective surfaces on the side will help with the side buds WITHIN this useful penetration zone, but not much if at all BELOW it.

So if you have a 6' plant under a 430 watt HPS only the top 1 1/2' will produce useful bud (about the top 1/4 of the plant). So if you want to increase yield you either increase the number of bud sites in the penetration zone OR you increase the depth of the penetration zone by adding side lighting.

CFL's on the side won't have much affect UNTIL the plant starts budding, then you'll see a big increase in the size and quality of the buds below the penetration zone. If you don't want to LST you can also try supercropping. If nothing else, you don't want to run out of head room after buds have started to form, a lot harder to control height then.

i understand that i just dont want to kill her because of stress during flowering because shes getting pistils all over the place and i mean lots of them but where the calyxs are they are starting to swell up a little bit and i dont want delayed bud site because im starting big bud when this one is done and im going to do 2 of them at once
