Lady's 12/12 from seeds wit 400whps

So as many of you know my first grow didnt go so well. I still have the plants i started with but they have been moved out side to do there own thing. Since i have been here at RIU i have been reading up on 12/12 from seeds because it seems like some thing that would fit my life style a lot more.

My Soil - 1/2 Perlite
1/2 Peat moss

Pots- 16oz red beer cups

Lights- 400w hps, 6-26w 2700k cfls(side lighting)

Plants- right now.. 30 seeds germ.

I will be updating with lots of pics and info just like my last grow. Wish me luck!:rolleyes:

Alright So ...At this time I am still waiting on my Hps to arrive. UPS says it should be here tomorrow.. it better be...

Well, this is my grow box that i made out of an old dresser that i didnt use and that was falling apart. It only cost me about $20 bucks to make this dresser into a good grow box. That is not including things like fans and lights. For the box i only had to by the Flat white paint and the hinges for the doors. During the dark cycle i saw that there are some light leeks so i had to improvise by putting a blanket over the whole box but its fine now. :hump:





For cooling i have a dryer duct running from my window a/c unto the top to keep the temp down. I also have a fan at on end of the box to keep the air circulating and the stems strong. For ventilation i installed a fan at the other end of the box. To keep my Hps cool i will be attaching a small fan to the side. :peace:

Alright. So i have my hps all hooked up..
but guess what...
while puttin it up i destroyed my duct that comes from my a/c....

i hooked up my vaccum hose to the a/c but the temp is still wicked high.In the 90's... :confused:

Just got done planting some of the seeds that germinated over the night. So far 12 have germd out of the 30. I hoping for all 30 but not sure if that is gunna happen. :hump:But i have a back up plan. If i dont get 30 i have more bag seeds that i can germ to get 30!!!
I put the other seeds back into germn in the dark and hope they will show tomorrow. :confused:

very nice! gotta love the upgrade and free bulbs, thats crazy good luck.
90 degrees is pretty gnarly, you could temporarily raise the light more and get some evaporative cooling action goin... hows everything else?

Well i got the temp down to around 83-84 with lights on. So its down a bit. So far so good though. My female plant that i have from my first grow is doing well. Showing me all her pretty white pistils. I also transplanted all of my other plants into the ground in my outdoor grow area. Sick of takin care of them so im just letting them do there thing outside. :spew:

I checked my seeds again and had 3 more seeds that germd so i put them in there cups. Now im up to 15 plants. :hump:

K well woke up and made some pancakes. Yummy. With a glass of orange juice.:hug:

Oh ya the plants HAHA

Ok well 8 out of the 15 came out to say "HI"!! Well i said "HEY LIL ONES" and gave them something to drink.

Oh and I think I forgot to mention.. My light schedule is 11am -11pm with lights on and then 11pm-11am lights off. I like to have the lights off at night because its easier to keep them in total darkness that way. :joint:

:peace::peace:And also my female plant from my last grow is lookin pretty good. She is startin to get white pistils all over the top of her. My male is also gettin big.. (hes outside far far away from my out door grow).. Him and all his lil "Sacks"haha.. they are gettin bigger.

Ill post later tonight if any more sprout or if the babys look any different. :lol:

OK just had an accident... i was sprayin the babys with some rain water and I hit one over!! It came dumpin out everywhere. I just put her back in but the root was already about 4inchs long!! I just hope i didnt kill her because of this..

But anyways..

All but one has sprouted!

So that is 14 for thoughs of you who arent readin my whole journal.. Lol
there is one bein a slow poke but thats ok wit me. Im about to go check on my germinated seeds. Wish me luck!!

Oh and here are my 11wk old puppies.. gambit and Rajah ..
Gambit is the one in the back .He is my parvo puppy because he just got over the parvo virus. :hug:



Oh and FYI my journal is open to all comments.. except as*hole comments. If you are commentin to be an as* then dont bother. :twisted:

2 seeds are gettin planted right now..

AND..

My slowpoke is awake! Just peeked in and He was up! So all 15 are up and ready to grow! :hump:

very nice start to what i hope is a wonderful and very productive grow journal love th dogs pits?s im askin because my oldest pit duke had parvo and survived they r the only breed i dident even take him to the vet i had a vet look at him though they r the only dogs tough enough to get through it and then they build their own immuinity to it. but wonderful start definatly subscribed and after i got all the new reflective material up they r doing even better packin it on
