This is a small outdoor grow, for some personal smoke. Some of you may have seen my progress in the North Carolina Outdoor thread, if not you're in the right spot.
I recently moved from the city to a small mill town in North Carolina. Leaving behind an indoor grow with a former partner, I was forced to start from scratch. Being short on change, and in need of some smoke I decided to grow outdoors for the first time. I've aided friend's grows in the past, but never on my own outside. I am an avid vegetable grower so the knowledge is there.
Location; I decided to grow in a flood plain along a small stream on private property. I started walking the land in January, so I'm pretty comfortable in my spot. The plot gets around 5-6 hrs of sunshine daily. Large number of pine and cedar, along with smaller shrubs. Pests include deer, rabbit, spider mites, ants, slugs, and aphids. others I'm sure...
Genetics; I'm growing Hindu Kush, an unnamed strain from Mexico with kush qualities - which has been somewhat stabilized, and an unknown bagseed.
Soil; Amended native soil (clay). Miracle Grow Organic Choice garden soil - Green bag, lime, composted kitchen scraps, and finely crushed egg shells.
Nutes; Fox Farm Peace of Mind 5-5-5, Plant Life Products Bud Start
These pics were taken on the 11th.
#1 is a Kush which almost became lunch.
#2 Kush
#3 Bagseed
#4 Unnamed Strain (we'll call it Senõr Kush)
#5 Plot A. (B comes later)
