hi fellow stoners.
well here's my first grow. They are 4 days old, from out of the seed container to what you see. I would like some feedback if you got the time. The mylar is an emergency blanket. The lighting is a 24 inch t5 veg bulb 6000k I believe, I know it's not a soft red one. I have a 400 watt MH for when they get a little taller, and then I'm going to daisy chain another t5 to the current one, and use soft red on opposing corners of the grow closet. It's gonna be sweet. I also have a 70 watt hps bulb that I may throw in the mix. The seeds are ice and persian kush.

thanks for the posts! It's a bubbler, and it's just a temp thing, I'm gonna put 4 "3 inch" mesh pots cut into the lid, and the bubbler/aero hybrid set-up is going big. I'll then add the 400 watt and the two 3000k t5 bulbs. I wanna go aeroponics with this. Going to get a powerhead and other stuff. Will be more informative in the next couple weeks. These girls are going to be hella spoiled!!! I have two airstones bubbling and 1/2 nutrients in the water.

well I added a second 24w t5 ho light strip. I also got rid of the emergency blanket because that is designed to let light in, and keep heat from escaping. I traded up to white plastic liner, kinda like panda plastic, but this is all white, no black side. And here's a pic of what's happening in the bubbler on the 3rd day I also am showing what nutes I'm using. Gen Hydro is supposed to be the sheet! :peace:

so I transferred to mesh pots on the 4th day because I was gettting roots shooting out all over the medium. I now have a pump going into pvc, and then into two small irrigation heads. The pump has a flow rate of 265 gph. You should see this pump/spinner in action. So sweet. I'm also throwing in a couple pics I took of me checking to see what a 400 watt MH would do to my previous set-up...it was seriously siq.

hi,
So i transferred to a old fridge I gutted for a stealth grow. I had the 400 watt MH in the freezer, and the space between the freezer and fridge has been cleared out. man that was some serious bright light. I lowered to a rigged 70 watt hps, and my dual t5 6500k bulbs. I've seen a couple pics on the net with 70 watt grows. The space I'm in is 24in X 18in, and I'm putting out 6500 lumens with the 70w hps and 2400 lumens with the two bulbs. I'm most likely gonna settle with a 150 watt HPS i'm looking at from the local hydro shop. It's about a foot long and it's all enclosed.

hi,
So it's the 5th day, and I had a 70 hps and 2 t5 24 inchers. I've decided to remove the hps for now, and put the 400 MH insted. Now I went from 6500 lumens which came from the hps, and since there are more lumens in that compared to the t5's, the higher lumens state the intensity level. I could have 100 t5's in there and the lumens output would still be 2400 lumens. Mind you that 2400 lumens would be in every inch of the grow box, but it wouldn't be any brighter. For some reason people are adding lumens together, which is wrong.
Also I added duct work to the old fridge, and right now it's at 91 degrees F and humidity is 34%. I'm excited about this grow because the roots underneath are using the aeroponics system, and monday I get my fogger, and the top of the plant is getting high mountain hawaiian temps. The fogger is going to be a siq unit to play with. The plant(s) are going to be experiencing two different ecosystems. The roots are going to be living in some deep amazon jungle, in some fogbank, and the top of the plant is going to be living in high desert just east of los Angeles....maybe 8000 ft above sea level. The fogger is going on a timer, since they are not advised to run over 8 hours in a 24 hour period. The fogger is going to run for 2 hours before the lights go on, this is to simulate a early morning swamp fog. It's gonna be siq. My little migant worker friend, Jose' has arrived from mexico, and as you can tell in the pics, he's already hard at work

so I'm at 85 degrees F and humidity is 31%....I'm phuqt iph I don't get this under control. I have a severe hot and arid top of the plant, and the roots are being constantly splashed with highly oxygenated H2O....don't know what to think next. Could be some of the best chronic around. It's sunday the 19th of April, 2009. I modified my hood, made a hor setup instead uf the bu version I was using. Here's a few pics

so I broke down and bought a sun hut, pics to come. The 4 seedlings, hopefully all girls are going from an area of 23 inches wide, and 14 inches deep, and 62 inches tall to a dark tent with silver reflective interior, that has serious baffles throughout this tent. Duct areas, area to hang your filter and its really nice. The flowering room will now be 54 inches wide, 84 inches tall, and 36 inches deep. It's the sunhut LG here is a pic.

I got the hut up, and it's so phuqn nice compared to that fridge. One may cut 20 bucks here or 40 bucks there, but in the end, it reflects upon you. Mine is this huge tent, and I only have 4 plants. Temps are down, they are between 78-82 and breezy, 35% humidity, and I've enclosed a few pics

I bought a 400 watt HPS off ebay. I also bought one of those 1970's bake-a-round pyrex bread tube thingy. I'm turning it into a cool tube. The pyrex cost me 20 bucks, and the fittings will cost about 10 bucks. I'm ahead by at least 70 bucks there. I also got my fogger working. It's easy to overheat, so I have it on from 4am - 7am, the lights go on at 6am. It's an early morning fog before sunrise. It also goes on midday, abot 12-2, then 4-6, then 10-midnight. It's really cool, the roots are going mad over it. It's a spa treatment to some beatiful plants.

nice setup u got man, its simular to mine. heads up tho, the roots are gonna tangle around themselves, i keep this from happening by rotating them in different spots or rotating them all the time ( which is a pain) but when u have to single out one ur gonna need just that one plant and not ALL off em haha. nice 400 too, how much did up buy it for?

thanks much appreciated. The light was a hi bay, that I converted over to a horizontal along with the help of that fridge you see earlier in my posts. I gave 40 bucks for it. It's a halide, but the hps 400 cost me 100, but it's worth it. I bought this pyrex off ebay, it's a tube of pyrex, for baking long breads, but i;m gonna convert it over to a cool tube. Any idea when I can legally start flowering? They all look strong and healthy. Maybe shock them and only give them 10 hours of light. I hear they shoot up, and then screen them down, and make all the branches come out

just a quick thought, I don't think heat is an issue in aero/fogponics. My tent is currently 102 degrees, and the fogger is cycling, and since the clay ball medium is feeling the heat, the fog/mist is being pulled up through the clay, and it's hella siq!! I think I have 1 and 3 as far as sex goes. 1 is advancing different, quicker than the others. So I have 1 fem and 3 males, but most likely I have 3 fems and 1 male. either way, my plants are loving life! Open like a 2pm sunny afternoon. I am a little concerned with the rez being in that grow tent.
update more as we go. Here are a few pics, let me know if you think heat is affecting 'em. You'll see what looks like grey smudge on a couple pics, but that's actually the fog. You may notice that I'm messing up the dayz, but actually I already did the grow, but trying to actualize the grow. So when you may see a day 47 pic, and then I may post a day 35, see what I mean...:-P

peace

temps do affect ur grow tho, try to keep ur temps well under 90, past that the thc starts to bread down, but then again rez is pretty much weeds sunblock, so idk really. usually males develope faster than the females tho so keep an eye on that. are these fem seeds? or bag?

so I am seeing that the plant when evolving, it has gthe two smooth leaves, then it goes one leaf set, then 3 leaves, then 5 leaves so far. these are what is shooting from the stem. As I look closer though, i'm seeing small leaves shooting out under the bigger top leaves. I'm gonna send up a couple pics. First is how I got temps under control. I redid up the blowers, installed one on top of the hut, and then venting it out the window, I have the window now seatled, and I also put panda plastic covering the window. Here are a few pics of my organized grow hut. Also, check out my nutrient res, It looks like tea. I have a question to anyone out there. I hear that GH's veg grow solution is null and void because the micro has enough nitrogen already in it. either way, I messed up my micro, and put in 20 extra mils. Do you think it is going to affect it with an overdose of micronutes? Check out the water bottle though, it looks like some of that expensive Gentleman's jack. Also......I use GH's hard water micro nutes, but it was insurance if I ever had to use faucet H2O. Since I use bottled water, will that make a difference? Some days I wish I had the nerve and the nose to go organic with dirt and all, but then I look at this serious chronic in my hut, and then think....nah.....
