Dude!
Very nice.

Just curious, what size a/c does it take to keep those temps in line with 9 600w lights in a single room and no cooltubes/vented hoods at all? I wouldn't have thought this even possible.

Venting, fan, size of cabon filter?

That room has no aircon in it at all. We dont really worry too much about keeping accurate temps and humidity although we probably should but thats just all part of our layed back growing style . The room does have a fan and 2 big charcoal filters hanging up and they do a pretty good job :bigjoint:

A fan and two carbon filters and no a/c. How monstrous of a fan please, there must be a label with brand and cfm rating... Years ago I grew what I though was big with 2kw in a closet sized bathroom with 4 and 5' jack herer's and couldn't ever run that without A/C and exhaust both or it burned the fuck out of them. Your setup with that kind of wattage should melt those bitches, even in the winter, in my experience. I'm not saying you're not pulling it off, I just want to try to wrap my head around why you are.

The fan for air circulation is just a normal household fan roughly 16 inches in diameter. As for the filters I will check the exact filter size for you if you want but here is a pic with the same type of filter and I think its the same size aswell:

Surprisingly we just went through one of the hottest summers on record lol. It does get extreemly hot in there and I sweat just being in the room looking at them lol. It can sometimes get to about 40 degrees celcius (104 fh) in there on some days but it doesnt cause much of a problem.

Whoa 104 and sweating just being in the room sounds about right... That is why I am questioning. The mystery to me is you said you only vegged 8 weeks to get those that big, and temps that high are simply not ideal, your plants have to sweat so much that growth is slowed significantly. (in the real world, with everyone elses plants but yours)

Soooo... If you dropped a nice fat A/C unit in there and it could keep that maybe in the low 80f range, you might be able to cut two weeks off your veg time and still up your final yield 20% in the same space.

Can someone loan me a dozen 600w lights please? I want to play with this...

That is a very good point and I might go on the hunt for a portable a/c unit coz I like the sound of a shorter veg while maintaining the same growth.

Getting the lights is not the problem, its paying for the power bill that is the main issue

Cheers

Plants grow through sweating!
If they can handle the heat, I say go for it!
I think if you lower your temps, your going to lower your growth.
Which is outstanding and inspirational:weed:
Your monster's have had a direct effect on my next grow!
I WANT BIG BITCHES!
