I have a sun systems 250w w/ built in ballast. It's twice as hot as my 400w's with external ballasts.

Wow, that must be one hot 150! That Sun Systems 250 isn't unbearably hot, but significantly warmer than an external ballast light.
I have a Sun Systems 250 if you want to buy it. Someone on here was going to take it off my hands, but I'd let it go with the bulb for $75.00

hey i might be interested. My 150 is from HTG and it just has the regular reflector so thats why it gets so damn hott. Makes my cab get to 100 degrees. Also, the magnetic ballast is so hot that i have to push my clothes away from it (cab is in my closet) just becuase im scared it will burn them.

Tonight I was messing around with a really tall and lanky plant. (2nd pic, farthest right). I broke two of her arms at there lowest nodes to stunt her and promote growth above the pinch point.. Completely satisfied with the way I did it.
But, not completely satisfied with her height... The top cola was way to tall so I decided to try and bend her down a little bit. I was working her nice and slow when all the sudden the stalk broke. I held her up and gave her some floral tape. She looks pretty sad but im sure she'll recover. To be honest I'm not that upset as this is my ugliest plant and I need to make her nice and tough as if she hears me making fun of her.
Tonight I learned how to work with this strain when it comes to bending down. These stems are VERY stiff but right above the lowest node on each branch there is a SOFT spot. With this soft spot you can work the plant with your fingers to go any direction you want. It will wilt for awhile an hour or two and then it will be perking right back up. Pretty cool. I'm glad i am experimenting.
Im going to put in the 2nd 600w bulb tomorrow and put 6 plants under each light once they recover. Once the plants are seperated I will veg a couple days and flip.
I might get some neem oil and spray down my plants a couple days before the flip too just as a pre-caution.

haha dam man that sucks but yea she should definetly grow back , probably like 3-4 days. i have a habit of doing things like that, i snaped the top off of my purple kush by accident and now its the biggest/tallest plant, with the most tops, and i bet when u put that other 600 in, the plants r gonna love it, i have 2 600's turned on over mine, soon ill turn the 3rd on, but with the 2 on so far the plants r just growin unbeliveably fast. let me know how the neem oil goes, i bought some but havnt used it yet, i used a pyrethruim bomb and it worked great it killed everything in my rooms except the plants

when you break the top you can just leave it bent over it will form a knuckle and grow faster and not as tall! sorta like supercropping ... even with a large nug growing you can just bend it over till it buckles then it will heal in about a week and keep her nice and short

so 2 bulbs fit in your hood?? or anotrher hood?? or just a bulb change??
False False. I know the picture above shows 6 under each hood but thats not the case.. not until tomorrow atleast.
