Tieing plants over

Im wondering f I have tied these over correctly. My plants tops are out of the range of the light and im not sure if this is a problem. My goal is to get the light closer to the front blueberry plant before the back two super silver haze plants over grow it. So i figured that by tieing the back two plants over I could have more tops growing and more bud production on those two while bringing the light closer to the blueberry and just letting it grow vertically.

What do you think?

Yeah that seems like a good idea but I'd be sure to move the outside plants around a bit every day or two to make sure that they dont get too familiar with that position then once your middle plants catch up some and the bottom of your outside plants beef up I'd straighten them back up and maybe even move your reflective material closer to the plants to save a lil more light so long as it doesnt fuck with your temps too much. Personally I would suggest getting another light assuming thats a 400w hps. I know you know just as well as I do that your plants are fine and will continue that way I just cant help but tell everyone to get more lights ya know lol. I need more lights too.. one day. Ya know, for now you could get 2 65w cfls from home depot that would get your tops while they are bent. the middle giirls might never catch up tho.. I dont know. I am just typing out my ass right now but yeah hopefully I said something that helped you or gave you an idea.

I was going to just leave them tied over and pull them closer and closer to the ground. If i do this then it will have more tops then just the one. IDK WTF to do to these plants. I just want to harvest it asap and have a good crop

hey bro. i bend over all my plants. if bending them over like your pics, i would suggest you top the plants too. nip off the very last node on the plants that are bent over. it will increase number of buds and increase yield but you will not likely be harvesting a giant super cola(if that's what yer after)

This is my first grow and im not after a giant super cola Im simply after some bud... So im thinking about leaving my plants just as depicted in this picture below... only i am thinking of topping it but im not sure how to or if there is a prefered method... what is this"nip off the very last node on te plants" that you are talking about... thanks bro

Maybe I misread something but if you are bending and tying plants to keep some low so you can keep your light low so other plants will get more light the simplest thing to do is leave your tall plants straight and raise the shorter plants closer to the light. Set their pots on other pots that are upside down or on milk crates or pieces of wood or on books or something.

To me tying down taller plants will risk stressing them and possibly getting their tops out of the best light so in my opinion you are dealing with a case of if the mountain won't come to Muhammad, Muhammad must go to the mountain but you have chosen making the mountain come to Muhammad and that just does not make the most sense to me. I’d say get Muhammad to come to the mountain instead by raising your lower plants instead of tying down your taller ones.

But that is just my opinion.


Ok …. Never mind. When I first looked at your pics I didn’t notice that you seem to be growing in one large container and you can’t raise your lower pots. My error … disregard what I said … I should have looked closer at your pics. All I really looked at was where your bent plant’s tops were and they looked like they were out of the best light and I missed something rather important like the lack of individual pots.

again. i have done side by side trials. if you want 1 big ass cola per plant than don't top or bend. if you do bend, more of the inter node off chutes are exposed to the light and will grow towards it. if you then top off the plant, all the inter node off chutes will all kinda compete to be the top cola, but none will win unless you train them different, it will be a tie. i use a pair of finger nail clipper or a scalpel or sharp scissors and sometimes just my finger nail to snip off the to top.....after i bend it. the plants in my avatar were bent over at 90 degrees 1 week after that pic and are quite bushy now. i would suggest bending and topping fer all yer plants. no matter how tall they are, you can bend them all over at once and make em all the same height.

Dude, Im going to leave these two plants laying over on there side and I will top them both. As far as the blueberry, I think i will just let it grow straight up naturally.

yea you can clone just about any living plant. its just a waste of time if you dont already know the sex of your plant. when i am selecting a plant to clone. i do it after i harvest. i will cut the plant all the way down to like the bottom 1/5 of the plant (including some of the popcorn buds) and regenerate it under my veg lights again. making it the mother plant fer future grows

I dont have any spare lights for cloneing either, but i do have cloning gel and a cloning humidity dome, rockwool, ph adjusters, etc. I just dont have the lights besides a few cfls laying around......but ive never cloned before however ive watched the videos on youtube on how to

using the rockwool method is ok. i would wait til after you sex the plants b4 even considering cloning. i harvest the plants and regenerate them. this way i will already have sexed the plant, flowered it harvested it and smoked some of it, b4 i deem one more worthy than any another to be the queen of my growroom
