Hey guys! Newbie here to the growing scene.. still got LOTS to learn lol Me and a bud of mine are getting a place together, and agreed that it's time for a change. My current place (first place away from the rents) has 2 other roomies, as well as a good amount of random traffic and whatnot coming in and out, thanks to his band. Can't tell you how many times the cops have come a-knockin' for noise complaints. Even tried to walk in one time, then warned us to "invest in some air fresheners." Haha dick
Anyways, I currently only buy like a quarter oz at a time, and end up spending approx $500/mo just on greens (as does he). Seeing as how this is the equivelant to a rent payment, I'm thinking it's time for a change.. Which is why I'm here!
For two people, renting, I was thinking of splitting a closet, using one side for a mothership and the other as a flowering room clones. Probably start with 2 strains (both crosses, one sativa-dom and one indica-dom). Keeping in mind we are only growing for our own consumption, we only want/need to harvest about 2-3oz a month. What do you think an effecient system for this would be? I was thinking I would probably use Uncle Ben's technique for topping, and focus on harvesting for the colas. Afterall, this is just for our own smoke..
