Welp, i vegged since November 27th. Im now on day 3 of flowering

I am using 10 red spectrum LEDs, and 5 blue spectrum. I also included 2 T5s (12inch) for 2 of the plants, and 1 26w warm cfl to hang in the middle, y'know..just in case.

Notice the PURPLE THAT ENSUES WHEN BLUE AND RED MIX w00t w00t w00t

im using foxfarm nutes (12/12 lighting of course), ad organic mg soil with perlite, vermiculite, and sand + organic bat guano.

So, have you done this before? I haven't paid much attention to LED's, but I'm always down to gain some knowledge. Just curios ablut how few lights are needed with this method.
And, yes, your lights look cool.

:fire:Is it just me, or does that look like a fire waiting to happen?:fire: how does ur plant get any air flow when surrounded by close incounters of the 3rd kind? Also how will you know if the leds do anything if you are useing t5 and cfl? why not just use those? so many questions of the why variety I know.:wall:

LED produce little to no heat. thats why the bulbs are pretty much touching the plants. and the bulbs are in glass enclosures.

Air is air...just put the fan on, and it will move more air than you could possibly need.
What he doesnt show you, is that he has carbon being released above the plants. If there is too much air flow, that carbon will be useless.

For LED to work well during flowering, you need to make sure you mix your red and blue spectrum. The T5's are there for that reason. LEDs work very well... you just have to know how to grow with it...

you should get some of those socket adapters that you can screw into a bulb socket and it creates 2 more. You could cut back on all the clamp lights by making each one have 2+ bulbs.

ok but for co2 to be useful you need heat. just seems that if he stuck with cfl and t5s..proven to work...his grow area wouldnt be such a mess. I can hardly see the plant in those pics.Air flow, temp and humidity are as important as spectral light. Oh and I use t5s and if you mix the tubes...6500k and 3000k...you get the whole spectrum.

His grow area is a mess bc he is a noob..... this is his first grow... trial and error =)

There is sufficient air flow...The lights dont get hot so you dont need to move the air a lot for heat to escape...
Its LED.... temperature is not a problem.
humidity is not a problem either... no heat from light to evaporate water from the soil or elsewhere.

and... why do you need heat for CO2 to work? jw..... can u provide me some links?

haha my grow area is messy but in order to put the lights exactly whre i need them to mix the specturm of blue and red, its not that easy :)

ill get better n beter as i know how they are gonna flower. I have no idea what to expect, i have a fan in there thats blowing through, and a few coke bottles with karocyrup and fast actng yeast. They are above the plants, and the temps in there are around 77-85, with about 40% humidity. I know humiity to kinda low. But there is crazy spot lighting.

Any reps? Effort is half the battle!
