Newb Master Kush DWC 400Whps

k so heres some pics of the 11 inch high Master Kush dwc. using 4 60ws for veg but its going into a homemade 5'X3X3 panda poly box w 6 inch duct fan and 400whps. pics of that setup soon.

wondering when i should flower? the clone was transferred from the rockwool into the 5 gallon bucket 3 weeks and 5 days ago. using a bit of superthrive, liquid kharma, and pure blend veg for nutes. ive topped it off once in those three and a half weeks. pH is still steady, and the roots look healthy, so i didnt change the water yet. enough of the boring shit. here goes :

how much dry do you think she'd pull if i switched now? i was thinking when i come home from break. let it get a little bigger. or would that be too big for the environment?

The strain is a good producer. It's hard to say what dry weight you will get tho. At a guess in optimum growing environment, under 400w hps if flowered now, I would be happy with 2.5 onces dry. I would be really happy with 3. Either way the Kush is a beastly smoke

If your worried about her getting too big I've never seen master or hindu grow taller than 4 foot. Ive seen them grow out tho! Big bushy heaven

tht would be sick! i tied it down last night. i dont know if i did it right though. ill post pics later, but i tied down more than just the main stem. i tied down like 6 other beefy branches as well. all it matters is that the plant is more than 90 degrees right? also my string was like 1/4 inch nylon it looks kind of thick. will that get in the way of the light? i didnt have fishing line or skinny string available so i had to make do. wouldnt be hard to replace before flowering. how long after i tied down should i wait to flower?

Ive tied down some mainly sativa plants before when I wasn't paying attention to what seeds I was buying.
If you wait for a week then all of the nodes should have started to grow upwards, then you can start flowering.

Again tho it depends what sort of yield you want to get?
You could let her grow another month say at which point you would probably have a nice screen of green and a much better yield than if you flowered now.

The only restriction I can think of really, is how much root space you have in that bubbler. Sooner or later that bucket is going to become so full of roots it will start to cause you problems. So you need to be realistic when considering how long your gonna veg for.

Oh and one more thing. I don't know what other people use but I would be hesistant of using fishing line, or anything too thin for that matter. I would be too worried about it cutting into the branch and cutting off its fluid supply or worse cutting off a branch

What you have used sounds groovy to me. Good choice.

Well yeah, its not as neat as some of the LST or screen grows you see on here. But you have achieved what you set out to do, and that should work fine.

Have you decided when your going to flower?

I like those big 5 gallon bubblers, you can grow trees in those from what I have seen.
Did you buy that or make that?

Your lst is nice. I had to use zip ties and it worked out fine. lst rocks. Bend as much as you can, its amazing.

thanks for the input. i was thinking about giving it about a week to adjust to the lst. then throw her on 12/12. but im going out of town for a bit and may wait til the beginning of January so i can monitor it better. right now im having to move the light about once a day. how do i get it so i can leave for 4 or 5 days and it not burn the piss out of itself? i dont wanna stretch it either tho

oh and its all home made. the bucket was a cheap one from walmart i got some black spray paint for plastic and then the lid was 5.99 at the local garden shop.

Changed to the 430 watt hps and started flowering on 12-23-08. Heres a couple pics on the day right before hps was hooked up.

the pictures of the new growth were taken on the 27th. it basically doubled in size already. i love DWC!!!!!!!

switched to organic pure blend flower nutes and liquid kharma with distilled h2o now.

no more tying down? just raising the light now, eh?

there are about six equally sized bushy branches going around the plant. some a little bigger than others but all are about 11 inches tall again.

LST is amazing, thats all i can say. thanks for all your input. what should i do now? wait?
its getting pretty hot like in the 80s. will master kush stop growing at 85F+ like most others?

no more tying down? just raising the light now, eh?

If you have another 2 foot for them to grow then you should be able to just let her do her thing.

I would watch those temps. if you can, growth will almost certainly slow at 85F.

Lovely looking plant btw, She's gonna do quite nicely methinks.

i figure ill jump in here since its my cut....its looking f-ing nice bro. looking at the pics you got another foot of stretch then she should start to slow down. She'll start packing on weight in week 6 finished week 9. looking good tho

9th day of flowering... i kinda overdo it with the pics but i can pretty much sit and watch it grow. you can tell which pics were taken w/hps on and when i flicked it off for a second
