what do u think of my micro grow? (pics)

I'm using a 20" tall pc case for the grow box. 4 6500k CFL lights are at the top and the fan is at the bottom. What should I do to keep these plants short? I have a metal rack inside the case to boost the plants closer to light that way it wont grow very tall. Any other tips, suggestions, ect?

the seeds in the picture are.
White Widow (FEM)
White Rino
Four Way
Northern Lights (FEM)
Power Skunk (FEM)
which one should I do first lol?

nice clean setup, i sure love these micro grows. If i was you i would either LST or lolipop for theis setup. You really dont have much a choice with how much height you have available

I just realized that your exhaust fan is at the bottom and your lights are at the top. It would cool the box much better to have your exhaust on top near the lights

get a fan on those lights and get them closer,,, if your forced to grow a micro grow like this.. you want to make the best of it... grow your plants to about 1/3 of the total space you have then send those babies into flower, and if you have to tie them down or route them sideways upside down lol do it... if you have a fan on the lights you can have those babies almost rest right on the lights "almost" good luck and stay safe .. smoke a bowl .......... :) ( i'm so baked lol)

The whole setup cost me about $80 so it really wasn't that bad.

I will put the another fan on the top to blow air on the fans, or does it need to be exhaust?

Sounds good... I'll put a fan uptop to cool the lights off.

When should I start to flower, and what strain should i start first? I could probably get 2 plants inside this case.. its 20' tall, 9' wide, 20' depth

If you have an exhaust fan right next to the lgihts, all the warmth coming from the lights are evacuated almost instantly and helps keep the room temp down. When your exhaust fan is at the bottom you will be dragging hot air from the lights above down to the bottom right across the plants and then out the box

I'll move a the exhaust fan to the top and put another fan at the bottom to blow air on the plants, sound good?

IMO i would flower maybe around the 3rd week or when you have at least 4 nodes on the plant. The closer you keep those lights to the plants the less they will grow up and will bush out. You may consider topping the plants after the 4th node.

here's a update..
I took your advice about the fan and put a exhaust fan up top and a intake fan at the bottom to get a good flow of air coming thru. I also have 2 openings in the middle of the case so more air can come thru. I let it run for about a hour at 23 'C was the temp...not sure if thats to cold, but if it is I can turn off the fan at the bottom and it will go back up. I'm going to get some black pantyhose tomarrow to fill in all those light gaps. That remote in the picture turns off all the power to the case remotly incase things get "bad" lol. I'm planning on running a tube from the exhaust fan to behind my dresser so the same air doesnt keep circulating. Any extra advice, anything before I start this grow? Miracle Grow soil idk if that matters...

wow I really do like your setup :) ya know what would be really cool... if you could rig a minature hydro setup small ebb and flow or something lol sorry i personally dont do micro grows but find them very interesting heheh. I would ask that you not use miracle grow... bad bad bad.. if you go to walmart... i have 2 walmarts by where i live and they both carry it. it's called earthworm castings soil... it's a small bag 10lb and it's .5x0x0 all organic the .5 is nitrogen... it's a good base soil... then they also have perlite... take and mix a batch of 1 cup soil to 1 cup perlite... basic soil mix that works really good on smaller grows. Like I said on the flowering ... id veg your plant till it gets about 1/3 of the height of your tower then flower... ya know ... you could always go with lowryder you could finish them out right inside your tower ???

hey this is my first time on this site and i was really interested in your pc grow box bro. would u mind posting some instructions on how to build, along with a list of materials. thx id appreciate that great idea
