First Grow

Did you have a gnat issue? Does the perlite help from gnats and others entering the medium? Im under attack from gnats. I just put mosquito bits and sticky traps but Im barely winning.
The perlite seems to have helped, but I did a careful no watering for about 48 hours to let the eggs die, and re-watered with hydrogen peroxide and water. This made sure to kill off the remainder of fly eggs. I didn't have any gnats thankfully.

Had an emergency today: Found powdered mildew on a few buds, had to cut them off. I havent been using a fan inside for ventilation, just an open port to let cool air naturally flow in. The port had sealed halfway by accident, leading to mildew/mold.
Lesson Learned: Air circulation helps reduce relative humidity, didn’t monitor my RH this week and mold popped up.

Hoping I can save the remainder of plant, as mold was isolated. Already added a fan, did pruning, sprayed with fungicide.

I will reduce humidity and increase air flow using an added fan, and start a water flush this week. Magnification of trichomes should opaque heads, ready to cut n dry next weekend.

Your second Pic still shows quite a few white pistils.. I guess someone else should chime in too. Personally I feel like you're a bit early. How many days into flower are you?

40-45 days. Thats after the intial 2 week period of switching lights to 12/12 schedule

70% hairs are brown, the tri chomes have changed from clear glass color to blurry. I take it won’t hurt according to research and best practices. I used a jeweler’s hand scope to check.

Here is the affected moldy buds i had to cut off :(

Controlling RH better with fan, gonna try to salvage the plants as I didnt find other affected bud sites…

Just incase u need it
Amber trichomes
During this stage, the hairs will appear a dark orange or brown color. This often reduces the psychoactive effects of cannabis consumption and creates a much more sedative effect for the consumer. The medical marijuana industry often leans toward cannabis harvested at this stage because of its ability to manage pain and treat insomnia. Many Indica-dominant strains require growers to harvest the buds when at least 60% of the trichomes have turned amber.
Milky trichomes
When cloudy trichomes are covering the plant, THC levels are much higher than CBD levels. This means the psychoactive effects of cannabis are most prevalent.

unless you can force lower humidity once the mold comes it will just spread maybe you will not notice this week but next....
Most forum research says people just throw the entire tent grow out, and sanitize and hit reset. But Ive come so far, it may be strategic to finish, dry, and visually inspect the buds to check.

I kinda wonder if you can increase the temps and lower the humidity. Make it super dry.. at this point I don't think it would matter also add a air purifier and clean the filter every day.. that may stop the mold? That'd a big maybe though but better than nothing. May have to get your temps close to 100 degrees though.. so you're gonna have to be extremely vigilant in checking up on those plants.

Give me the stats of your grow room and let's see if we can figure this out. Bear in mind if this does work the potency of your buds will be reduced. Also if you can please get growers ally fungicide (should be citric acid)
