But were you high when you dusted them?? Don't leave out the deets, tx
It was always in the morning before the public entered so it was a little solitary way to start the week. Whatever I'd been into the night before certainly would have been in play! My tools were a turkey feather duster and a dowel wrapped in layers of cotton wool then a soft linen stocking built up to perfectly fit the shelves. The room had been there for more than 60 years when I got there, so no improvisation was allowed. Worked from top to bottom and then from the far corner to the entrance, just the shelves.

Backyard bonfire! That looks like work. My hands, hips, back and knees feel your pain. :eyesmoke:

Stump grinder?

Around here the volunteer fire department wants you to call them so they can keep surrounding brush wet and give their crew some practice. I have done it a few times to burn slash. Parts of the year are NO-BURN days.

I wish when I had collected the wood I had Grand ideas of doing carving with a chainsaw idea did not pan out and after about 3 years of it laying there someone got tired of looking at it and called the cops or the city not sure about that but all I can do is get it cleaned up and work on a privacy fence project I do believe the outside might just turn out to be flamingo pink and have the words Colonna rocks on it lol but in the end it's on me :hump: :bigjoint::peace:

Will the HOA allow that? :D (snickers)
.
I hate hearing about folks getting ragged on...but be glad someone GAF. We've had an abandoned, rat poop-filled RV (since Jan 30) sitting on Federal property down the road just a bit from us...but even after multiple contacts with both BLM and the local Fife's...nobody seems to GAF/wants to take any responsibility for removing it. The fuckers even had the balls to tell me >I< should pay to have it removed. Um...no assholes...you work for us. Remember?

I did learn a lesson though. It's best to not say anything and hook that sucker up/drag it into the middle of the road...THEN CALL AND REPORT IT!

Showing concern and I.D.'ing myself cut my options damn short....as have the dry conditions here. :fire:

Spent the evening cleaning out the long term storage closet. I'm to the point where I can't finish the living-room without emptying that closet and priming its inside. Trying to salvage what I can of the Star Wars toys I've saved since 1980, a big chunk of it emotional shit from growing up in 4 failed marriages, that I don't want to deal with. Dad broke this one, step dad 1 broke this one, step dad 2 is why everything is covered in nicotine, that kind of shit.

Most of the 4 hours work was scrubbing them with Green Clean and a toothbrush. I may be able to scrounge somewhere in the neighborhood of $500+ out of them. I have a near perfect 1995 X-Wing and Millennium Falcon, that both list above $150 in good condition, from being wrapped in air tiight bags. One thing is for sure, they're no longer getting to live, move, and take up space, rent free anymore. The only things I'm saving are the things my wife got me around or wedding time, including the Original ForceFX replica light-sabers she got for us to walk under and a new in box X-wing. The rest is getting sold off and if they don't get a buyer they're becoming landfill fodder. Hopefully I sell enough to make some kind of dent on the carpet installation.

Pushed harvest back until Saturday, already defoliated and have them in the dark. Should be a pretty dank harvest, the 15-ish % of trichomes that have turned were practically angry orange, really striking color; unfortunately I don't have a microscopic or macro lens that would get a good picture of them. Oh well that's the day, kind of pedestrian and boring.

Too bad you couldn't write that post in moving text that gets smaller as it ascends. May the Force be with you...

We have a Lego collection we're finally gonna let go to a friend of my late son's kids. I'm sure not gonna have any grandkids to give em to. I got a buncha stuff I need to get rid of that's just breaking my heart. Every damn thing I did for him/bought for him has come back in my lap.

But at least I'm not drywalling/painting/etc. :D
