I can relate having hip, knee replacement and shoulder reconstructed. Almost completely bionic on one side! Still there is pain but not the same and mobility is greatly improved.
Even with daily pain...I spent so much time in Dr's offices and being addicted 20 years or so ago...all to no avail...that I've since just dealt with the pain and tried to stay active/truckin'/etc. Now I'm at the age that if I go in...there's no alternative >but< surgery. @ this point I pretty much hurt everywhere anyway LOL...so taking on more pain is a bit tough for me to do...willingly. Glad it has worked out for you. Was your immobility due to injury..or just aging/work/rough/fun living?

Aren't you and I the same age?
I think we're in the ballpark. I will be 40 in a couple months. But I have lived a hard life grasshopper. And it is true as someone else said… I turned 30 and the very next morning waking up it was like someone put a curse on me. I just felt old and I had pains in places I did not know even existed. I abused my body daily from the time I was 12 to about 25. Which is coincidentally when I met my wife LOL. But now I'm paying for it. My body not my wife LOL.

My bias and lack of respect for dj's was showing. I always just refer to Atmosphere as a person. I never give Ant the credit he deserves. Partly because when trying to explain to somebody how it's a band with a vocalist and a DJ it's just not worth it LOL. But I should have known that a teacher and a student such as yourself would have already known the makeup of the group. And yeah , 2008 does seem like a fucking lifetime ago. That's the year I bought my house and met my wife. In that order LOL. Really the start of my adulting.
Lol. When billed as a band, MC's DJs are not just DJs, but producers. Ant is one of the best producers I've ever heard, he makes all Atmosphere's beats, and beats for many in the industry. He hunts down the dopest samples and such, a large part of his time was spent in record stores (not sure if those still exist). Harry Mack tours with a DJ, Sur Jazz. That dude is pretty much just a DJ, so they make the distinction that it is an individual touring and not a 'group' or 'band'. You're right, most people don't know any better ;)
