I think since recharging stations pumping a lot of kilowatts into EVs will need some kind of protection from the rain, that anything solar panel covered should also be used for shelter from the elements. Most gas stations have such shelters from the elements already and recharging an EV with hundreds of volts could be dangerous in the pouring rain. These solar trees don't provide shade or shelter and appear expensive to construct.
You think they will? What year are we in - just checking in case I took a wrong turn last time I jumped.

I find these a lot more aesthetically pleasing than mechanical mushrooms, trees and flowers designed to be more fitting for a Disney theme park.
Bigger one in UK:

The yellow line on the canopy is just brilliant design. People are programmed to notice gas stations by the green/yellow/red/etc line along the roof, fastned charging locations look like an electric spark.
