Old School Skunk, who's found it???

Not trying to pester but for one perhaps shorter Kerala instead of the taller leads to the good skunk in the downstream lineage. What I'm saying is that for my experience the good skunk seemed to be small though I didn't see the plant, and, it wasn't necessarily Skunk1, Sam the SS, columbian gold, Kerala or whatever else is written online so many times. Never was I surprised people said afghan is in it. That I believe. And of course Afghan would make it shorter and there may be hundreds of types of Kerala for all I know, and hundreds of afghans. Which is I'm asking for more description because Kerala + Afghan is quite a stretch from Columbian/Acapulco + Afghan. And why it would be helpful to understand descriptions rather than geographic origin because what was then is no more. The skunk was magic but just because it smells skunky doesn't mean it's got that magic.
You arent pestering me one bit.

Its not true all Afghan is short. Whats generally considered the best of the best hash strains are Mazar i Sharif, and Sheberghan Mazar can grow to19 feet tall, and some phenos dont get done until December. And they say they like the longer flowering phenos. . 6 meters is 19 feet-6 inches. Sheberghan can get 2 meters which is about 7 feet tall.

Description
Genetics: Mazar-i-Sharif Domesticate (“Landrace”)
Sourcing: The Real Seed Company, via Afghan charas and seed merchant, Peshawar, 2007
Purpose: Charas (sieved resin)
Latitude: 36° N
Harvest: October through November
Height: 2 – 6 meters outdoors
Characteristics: High-yielding, tall, intensely resinous, red stems and stigmas, Indica- and Sativa types, CBD
Classification: C. sativa subsp. indica var. afghanica x C. sativa subsp. indica var. indica
Grow Type: Outdoor, greenhouse, or indoor

And the strain of Kerela they speak so highly of is Highland-Idukki District. And the strain is called Idukki.

And we had the Skunk in 1977-78, long before Sk1 was generally on the market. This was about 7 years before Nevil, or any of the Seed Banks had it for sale. It was a thing in California, but generally not known anywhere else. And All the Sk1 I ever grew was never skunky. It was floral, and Ive grown it since it first became available in the 80s. It was never like the Skunk my buddy got from William Keith "Noodles" Hayes, in Meigs County Ohio.

Can't believe I've wasted my time reading this from page 1.. This thread is all over the place. What I gather is RKS is extinct as the dinosaurs and people are wasting their time. If it was to be found then someone would of cashed in already.
there is threads in other forums dating back to the early 2000's of this... soo if that tells you anything.

Truth is my skunk is rks but to you its not but your rks is to you but not to me. yes it rks but not what i remember. that is the problem with it.

then everyone gets confused thinking its skunk #1 or super skunk or this or that. yeah my super skunk was rks but to many super skunk was never rks.

cannabis got the name attached skunk for a reason cause more will say weed smells like skunk then anything else so there is the answer.

my quickly flowering Euphoria was recommended as a skunky strain, its amazing how the leaves and stems smell like serious skunk, but so far the buds smell almost identical to Deep Chunk, vanilla, sweet lemon peel, hard to describe sweet odor... no skunk. Lets hope the chop and cure bring some out.

Yeah my experience is its sweet not skunky once its ready to smoke i find many strains can smell generically skunky while growing but when they finished or cured it often changes to other tastes and aromas or they loose it seems stuff that keeps that stench is rarer

There is too much for me to hunt but this Idukki sounds interesting. My skunk attempt have all been short and no stretch but somewhat long flowering. Since you mention Mazar I enjoy TNF's Skunk x LSD, of which LSD is half Mazar I believe. Strong but light headed high I appreciate. 2 of 10 hermaphrodites, variations of smell, majority fresh tennis ball but one caramel was even better. I think there is skunk in the Skunk 18 but like you once pointed out it's hard to find that "one". Those buds often have an orange smell when young, or lime. Dominion crosses are interesting but a different deeper more gnarly skunk side and what must be the skunk side of the pairings seemed noticeable regardless of the difference in the crosses. Good high but not so light headed to me so far. Do you know what is in the background of Dominion Skunk?

You confused me which is easy to do. You mean LSD would have to be Barneys and the mazar in that is 1/2 mazar comes from Dutch Passions? So we're taling maybe 3/4 skunk 1/4 mazar? If that crossed to Skunk 18 I'm not sure why fresh tennis balls are the result.
I just stonerly remembered Dominion is Puck and some hashplant combo but what is the puck and what is the rest? Suppose the lineage knowledge doesnt go further back as in it's Afghan or whatever.

It’s out there but no one will ever be able to claim it. If one finds something similar or did before, people will say “not it”…. Especially on here, usually will be the accounts with a 55,000 comments and the uncontrollable urge to be fastest to reply.

I find this thread helpful.

I have Dominion Skunks's Polecat 91 BX, cant even remember how I acquired it but its on my list of skunk strains to check out. My Euphoria is smelling like Deep Chunk buy my Master OG from PSB smells like skunk, real strong skunk - I don't remember it having that odor but hopefully it will only intensify.

The Dominion Skunk is a cross of??

Chem91skva x Skunk #1 x Skelly Hashplant x Skunk #1.

Skelly is also called Puck Hashplant. A guy named Skelly used to keep his weed in a container that looked like a Puck. Thus the 2 neames for the same clone.

Skelly/Puck came from 1980s Nevils Hashplant.

This was a cross of clone only Pacific Northwest Hashplant x NL#1. He then got a Male from this cross, and again backcrossed it into the PNWHP, and this is what he called Hashplant.

The Skelly guy brought some Nevils Hashplant seeds back from Holland around 1987-1988, and found the plant we now call Skelly/Puck. It was found in 1988. These were small plants that grew slowly, but packed an extreme punch. Nevil said it was the best stuff he ever smoked.

If you want the closest thing to the Skelly/Puck clone you better jump on the Crickets and Cicada Puck BC3. Bob Hemphill worked on this strain 3-4 years before it was released. It was released last year as Puck BC2. And now he released the BC3 several months ago, and its all almost sold out. I only know of a couple places that have any left. When first released it sold out in minutes. We all complained to Bob last year that he didnt release enough seeds of the BC2, and he made many more of them this year. He also informed us that the Puck wont produce alot of seeds, so if you want a bunch of seeds you would need to make multiple clones of the Puck mother, and breed them. so he made a lot more of them this year, but are almost all gone.
He also has the Shunk x Puck for sale, which is the same genetics Domininion used in many of his crosses. S I highly recommend getting the C&C Skunk x Puck BC2. I bought 2-3 packs of everyhting he released last time, but havent grown any of them. I also bought all of what he released last year, except the Puck BC2, because it sold out so faast, it made the seed vendors sites crash. It sold out in minutes, and he only made 150 packs last year. And thats why many people complained. We waited months for the release, and most that wanted the BC2, didnt get it.
I gave all my seeds to a buddy last year to F2, and he did, but he died in late october, and all the seeds were lost. But he did relay a smoke report on all of them, and said all of it was extremely good, and was some of, if not the best stuff he had seen in 20 years. We were going to do a big outdoor grow this year with the F2s he made.

Labyrinth Seeds has some packs of the Puck BC3, ad the Skunk x Puck BC2. Theres also some Sensi Star V1 x Puck BC2 left, and Pre98 Bubba x Puck BC2. And they are on sale for $100 a pack. Normally they are $125.

The Seed Source also has some packs, and have the Sensi Star V2 and V1 in stock. Along with the Puck BC3, and SSkunk x Puck BC3.

But the 2 I would jump on first would be the Puck BC3, and Skunk Puck BC2. My buddy did love the Sensi Star V1 too, and Im sure the V2 is also killer. But the other 2 I would get first. And Id backcross every one of them to themselves. And try and keep the best females, and males. Or at least the best female, and the best 1-2 Males from each strain.

I think the Skunk x Puck would make a hell of a male to use to cross into some heavy Sativa strains. Like Sour Diesel IBL from Katsu, and NL5 x Haze from AKBeanBrains.
Katsu says he is going to have a Sour Diesel Male from Stone Farms crossed into the Puck in the near future. Which would also be great. The Stone Farms Sour Diesel Male is supposed to be the best male ever found out of Sour Diesel genetics. It was previously unreleased for a long long time. Stone farms, and Katsu are doing things together.
