You guys are scaring the shit outta me - my bike is advertised at like 48+ mph & I've hit 35 plus. That was a pucker event.
I lost my license as a teenager for street racing and had to get a moped to get around on. It topped out at 40. A bicycle at 48mph is a no for me. I damn near killed myself on a regular bike as a kid, no need for a Ferrari bike like you guys are talking about :bigjoint:

i went ass up on a moped in shorts, at 60kph, on a bend once when i leaned over to much and it bottomed out,
the bike and i was sliding down the road at around 40 kph, and i could feel my left ass cheek heating up on one side as the road was ripping through the shorts.
so i leaned on the other ass cheek until i came to a stop, it was a close one, lucky it was a new road

Yeah anything over 25 mph on a Walmart bike is scary. The only time I go full out 35+ mph is on my road, to get off it fast and onto safer roads. usually about 20 mph is a good cruising speed, or slower if it's cold out.

We use to visit Ocean Shores every year. My parents would rent us scooters and we'd go jumping them on the dunes. A group of girls said something as we went by went cruising by on the flats, so when we came back the other way I pointed out the girls and he though I meant turn left. So he cuts in front of me, we crash, and I slide. My pants and underwear were pulled down from the sand slide. That was fun, :bigjoint:

Right we both built very similar ones....and then you got another one or 2. I think I paid around $600 for the battery and the wheel/motor assembly, and had a 26" donor bike....This will be it's 3rd season and I've enjoyed it a lot. Meta has a shit ton more miles under his belt than me...on the bike that is
Between both bikes, closing in on 9000 miles on my e-bikes…

Gonna need new batteries pretty soon. Mine are finally starting to wear out.
