Thats awesome. I think as long as they can hold it up when they have to stop, they can adapt to different controls.
I met a guy that has wheels that come down as the bike slows to a stop that look like big fat training wheels on a bicycle. It supports the bike at a stop so you don't have to put a leg down. As you get up to speed from a stop they automatically lift up out of the way. He has a shift mechanism that works like a see saw. He rocks it forward to upshift and backwards to downshift. Hope it works out well for him.

First off he needs his own that is apparent lol sorry to here that you are having issues with your back are there any plans for a fixs?
My only choice is fusion surgery and some rods but I'm trying to postpone that as long as possible as my first surgery made it worse. I used to drive him to school once a week on it and he was the coolest kid in 1st grade lol.

Morning.
I'm meeting with guy this morning about altering my brothers bike for him. He's new amputee (below the left knee) and this guy is confident he can fabricate something to make shifting easier. From what I understand, all shifting would be down, 1-6, and he'd only need to push down with his heel. So I'm guessing they'll move the shifter back to mid controls from the extended forwards he's got? I'm probably not explaining this well...still on my first cup of coffee. :D

I really hope this is doable.
Pingel electric shift kit.
I have it on my Harley, basically, on my left thumb I have up and down button... a solenoid shifts and electric stuff happens in the engine too.
Mine is used for drag racing as I cannot get feet onto pegs fast enough to shift to 2nd.
