Using food grade H202 (35%) in hydro reservoir

70% and higher H2O2 will push a torpedo faster than any electric motor can. The Kurst sub was sunk by a leak in a torpedo.. At least that's what they say.. I would not have 33% H2O2 near any thing I value.. Contact with a catalyst will bring you to grief,

If you don't feel comfortable handling and storing something like that then you shouldn't but it's safer than a can of gasoline. I buy my 35% at a health food store and they're cool with it.

I thought it was 50% and up is dangerous?

The 35% will burn your skin if not washed off right away but it takes a bit before it starts to hurt. They use 10% at the beauty parlours to bleach hair. I use 96% sulphuric acid for pH down in DWC so peroxide is easy. :)

You might be impressed if it leaked onto a little sugar by accident.. Hydrogen Peroxide and spontaneous combustion HAZARD! (practicalmachinist.com)
Good thing the wife won't let me store my chemicals in her food cupboard then. Nor my spare gas can.

I used to be a chemist in a hazardous waste disposal facility and handled train car loads of shit that makes a little 35% peroxide look like drinking water. It sounds like you should stay away from stuff like that tho.

Means your wife is smarter than you.
That is possible but she doesn't have a diploma in chemistry and 4000+ hours of handling hazardous waste and the training like I do so she lets me deal with that stuff. Proves she's at least smarter than many.

Why do you keep bringing up your wife in this?? Is it just because I think she's smarter?? Lets compare your apples to my oranges while we're at it..

RO water would be less likely to bring contaminants but the system is already contaminated. Pool Shock is a common solution, H2O2 can work but is more expensive in the long run.

Thanks guys! What you think this stuff here is available in my Garden Store https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwi4prLg_PH8AhXU6ncKHbXkBQ4YABAIGgJlZg&ohost=www.google.de&cid=CAESbeD2F-JxOxSTVaB84aOUfe9xUpjDcELTiTBzf5FC7Vxp5qyWF75XFWKNs-9kwu9tHdRQZXJvtY9HuiiY8jHFOm3OTRBInN7PCubtc7yRRKC5XChv7EBu7MP7CDaBRbioB6kcLAc6jDfaDNEgDmE&sig=AOD64_2-9gG5ZI_ad6c9nq0CHB3vRbViOw&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwiorarg_PH8AhV4hf0HHSrWBQMQwg8oAHoECAEQCw&adurl= any idea of usage in dosage? My water fail with h2o2 sucks

What is available at your local grow store?

The user you are responding to deleted their account years ago. His posts are very good, damn shame he left us.

Info on H2O2:

How much hydrogen peroxide in hydroponics
You should never add a concentrated hydrogen peroxide solution directly to your reservoir. Always reduce the concentration first by mixing one part of the 35% concentrate with eleven parts of water.

So if you take one ounce of food grade peroxide, mix it with eleven ounces of water to get a 3% solution. Always use fresh distilled water if possible for best results.

The recommended amount of 3% solution of peroxide per gallon of water in hydroponics is around 3ml per liter or 2-3 teaspoons per gallon of reservoir water. Please note that we are talking about the diluted solution, NOT the 35% concentrated peroxide.

Just to be safe, when you start the dosage, add a little less than the quantity mentioned above. Your local hydroponics store may have diluted solutions and proper charts and instructions for mixing the stuff.

Each dose should last for around four days. When mixing nutrient solutions, it is best to add the peroxide to one half, and the nutrient to the other and then mix them.

This is available what you see at the link
I see. That product is 35% h2o2, which is effective. What you used is 3%, bases on your previous post.

30+ % h2o2 works very well for keeping a sterile res, but its also extremely dangerous is used improperly. A single drop in your eye would blind you and if it gets on your skin you will have irritation and temporary bleaching.

In DWC I changed every week to 10 days depending on the growth stage. When they are in that max mode (late stretch thru mid flower) I changed more often.
What you mean with Rezervoir change? Add new water to the Tank ore clean the complete tank?
