I guess I expected pictures of classified documents like in the Trump case.
If Trump hadn't forced the DOJ to execute a search warrant and then go to the media with his false story, all the while making threats, changing his story every time he talked to the media, and then go court to further obstruct the investigation, you wouldn't know anything about what Trump had at Mar a Lago too.

It is unusual for the DOJ to talk about an ongoing investigation. If Trump hadn't been stirring up his followers with a fabricated story, the DOJ would not have shared what they did to counter Trump's phony tale of woe and grievances. Unless Biden gives the information and until Hur files his report, it's unlikely the DOJ will give you more than the minimum about their investigation into his case. When the House opens its inquiry on the matter, maybe then you'll get the details you don't need.

The words "nothing burger" come to mind but Trump made those words mean "criminal collusion with Russia and obstruction of an investigation", so I won't say it.

This is about Biden. Or at least show the proof of this Russia Collusion,

There is a whole spectrum of spin though. Take two recent news cycle winners:
- the statue
- gas stoves
Different outlets emphasize, downplay or outright omit different aspects of the story. A cursory glance at several items about each gives insight not only into what the thing is about, but also what the provider is encouraging the audience to perceive or conclude. All without the providers saying anything counterfactual, just arranging the selected menu items on the plate.
yeah, but the only alternative is to proceed blindly...it's upon the reader of the news to distill out the information it actually contains.
sad, after growing up with Walter Cronkite, Lawrence O'Donnell is the closest thing to a news caster i trust, and i have to admit his bias against trump and the republicans, deserved as it is.

Show proof there wasn’t ?
The democrats spend the last 2 years and millions of dollars trying find this proof. But did they? No! :joint:

Gas stoves should get its own thread. How ridiculous can those guys get, :wall:
I guess that you are old and your time is short, so you probably don't feel the need to address this source of air pollution. Maybe your kids don't visit you with your grandkids and so you don't need to be concerned about anybody but yourself and the few old wheezing duffers who visit you. But the facts and science behind this report I find convincing.

Health Effects from Gas Stove Pollution

From the executive summary:

Over 40 years of evidence indicates that gas stoves, common in kitchens across the United States, can lead to unhealthy levels of indoor air pollution. This report synthesizes expert findings into eight key points:

1. Indoor air is largely unregulated and is often more polluted than outdoor air.
2. Gas stoves can be a large source of toxic pollutants indoors.
3. Indoor pollution from gas stoves can reach levels that would be illegal outdoors.
4. There are well-documented risks to respiratory health from gas stove pollution.
5. Children are particularly at risk of respiratory illnesses associated with gas stove pollution.
6. Lower-income households may be at higher risk of gas stove pollution exposure.
7. Ventilation is critical but is not the sole strategy to prevent exposure.
8. Electric cooking is a cleaner household cooking option. Air pollution is preventable. By addressing pollution at the source—in this case the gas stove—negative health impacts can be mitigated.
I cooked on a gas stove for years, always with a good exhaust fan that vented air outside. Loved the immediate and distributed heating gas cooktop burners provide. Cooking is a major hobby of mine and I spend a lot of time in front of the cookstove. Once I took a look at a few reports like the one above, I decided to make the switch to an electric induction cook top. My oven was always electric so no need to do anything there. Also, we don't have AC and induction burners generate very little waste heat, which helps keep the house cooler in the summer. I'm really liking the new cooktop. Win, Win, Win.
Going forward, regulations should end the sale of new gas appliances, beginning with new homes and extending into retail as appropriate. There are good alternatives, so, why not?

It does rather presume on the critical thinking skills of the consumer.

last two houses I was and am in, the exhaust fan is integral with the over-range microwave oven. It blows the air right back into the kitchen right at hairline level for me. I don’t really get the point of it.

How many of Trumps lackey's plead guilty, or were found guilty of charges resulting from that investigation?

I replied to @Skillcraft who was wondering why we didn't see pics of Biden's docs like we did with Trump. I realize my post had too many details and words in order for you to understand it, but I wasn't responding to you.

We have plenty of threads about the Mueller investigation, if you need proof, you'll find it there. Mueller found plenty of evidence of collusion with Russia. Bill Barr decided he could not to charge a sitting president and said so. But that doesn't mean there wasn't evidence of collusion.

We already know that MAGA types will not accept any evidence of collusion as proof. So, that horse is dead. No amount of beating will make it get back up.

They avoided paying to run a proper vent
That is unacceptable in any good cooks home

That's good information. I wasn't aware of the NO2. I'm not too concerned, but that makes sense to be more careful if using them. I don't think that should mean getting rid of all natural gas appliances though. I also don't think the government should get involved at all really. Just tell us the dangers and let us decide for ourselves.

I've seen those units. My in-laws have one. There is a filter in those units (or at least the one they have does) but they've never replaced it. So, yeah, I don't understand why that set-up is allowed. You are right. It makes no sense. Knowing what we know now, that kind of set up is nasty.

Fortunately for them, some circuit in their gas range was defective and the unit started to continuously beep. They replaced it with a radiant heat unit so, no more issues with gas burners. But still, cooking fumes, oil mist, etc. just get blown back into the house air. Where the oven is located, it would require cutting through cabinets and running a duct through the roof, so they are just doing what everybody else does and look the other way.

Still though, what you can't see can hurt you.

Not one piece of evidence about collusion. Anyways let's get back to talking about why Biden even had these classified documents and how long has he had them? Did he bring them home when he was Vice President? And if so, what gave him the authority to do that? And why was his lawyers the ones who went and found them when they have No Clearance what so ever to be looking at classified documents?

It's also interesting that Biden is acting like he doesn't know what's in them or how they got there. Is he lying or is he just senile?

Just hold your breath while cooking and you'll be fine.

I understand your desire for small government and no regulation. Fortunately for all of us, you are in the minority and people who feel like you are dying off. Within a few years they will only hold power in back water shit hole counties.

Did you know that hookworm has re-established in the south? Lax enforcement of sanitation standards let people just dump their sewage into surface drainage ditches. Hookworm is associated with mental retardation, so it figures.

I feel the same way towards government today as I did when weed was still illegal in all states and we were all criminals.

Gas-fired home and water heaters do not exhaust into the living space, as ovens and stoves do.
