I am looking for a good good soil. I was gonna grab pro mix premium because someone told me they had zero issues with it. The thing is no stores have it near me. Im looking for the next best thing. 2 Green Crack Plants, 2x4 Mars Hydro, and Tsl 2000.

Define good good soil. Are you against ordering what you want? I'm currently using FFHF and FFOF for the first time and am having zero issues. If you arent against ordering, just get what you want. I also saw that BAS is having their labor day sale right now.

You can make your own soil but it requires a few things..

My soil would probably be too much for what you need, but you could adjust the ratios..

Something like..

1 bale of Soil less mix "pro mix, sunshine, nutri plus, there are several. "should have lime in it, if not then its probably just peat and you should add lime"
1 20liter bag of worm castings
8 cups Gaia Green 4-4-4, or any All Purpose Organic Fertilizer. "if using other brands you would check their feeding charts, each brand varies"
1 20 liter bag of mushroom compost
1 20 liter bag of sea compost
1 cup of oyster shells
a dash of greensand "if it's available around you"
a big handful of alfalfa pellets
bat guano "I use this for boron and other nutrients it has in it".. I just eyeball this, toss some in, mix, toss a bit more in "not too much"..

As you transition to flower you would start to add organic flower nutrients, more guano..

This would be a decent mix, you would have to adjust ratios and resources that are available to you.

I made my own soil this last spring...

I made thousands of gallons, but I redid my outside garden completely and it takes a lot of soil to fill 16ft long beds that are over 4ft deep.

Coco coir might be a gd option to think about. U can reuse it over and over and the growth plants have is faster then in soil. I mix mine with a lil soil, ewc, and perlite. $20 will get u a brick that will make enough for (4) 5 gallon pots.

Potting mix or soil? I know cannabis likes sandy loam.

I remember one time shopping and studying ingredient labels. I finally settled on Kellogg's Palm Cactus and Citrus because it's available locally and has no peat and no lime. But I have to process it before use, which is a bit of work.

Needless to say if you are married with kids, this is not a wise project to bring to your wife..

"Hey baby I just spent over 1200+ on dirt"

"UMM YOU DID WHAT!"
I was thinking that making my own might be best option. Thank you for the list. The wife Haha, I just tell the wife its all for a better end product

I told her anytime she wanted I would have a 3some with her and my ladies I'm game, "just don't get mad when my other ladies get more attention then she does". :)

if youre of the crowd that doesnt wanna mix their own (although the savings are huge) Build A Soil makes amended blends that seem like theyd be top notch. For a couple plants it might be the way to go, buying amendments in bulk isnt for everyone. link->

Lmfao!!! Nice!! Nice!! Plants Bro. Im getting there learned and learning alot. Im finishing up two 5 gallon outdoor. Coast of Main soil. Bruce Banner Fox Farm Products

Time and effort is something you can never research...

The more you garden, the better you get.

Almost 17 years of solid running, I'm still making fuck ups, I learned more this year then I have in a long time..

Best advice I can give is stay in the guidelines that wont piss your lady off.. lol..

Jokes aside, the best thing to do is to keep growing, don't over do things and start small, work your way up..

I went full blown dumbass mode this year "like I was a 20 year old again", damn near broke my back, my bank account and my marriage..

But I sure love this plant lol..
