Why do so many people struggle to grow auto flowers?

Short answer …….. Youtube

This... No idea how plants function! I also totally agree with keeping it simple like a 4-4-4 or a soil that's already charged. I remember those weak crosses you're talking about. The autos even just a few years back could be trash, its only just now that they're starting to look decent but even then, some are meh.

Awesome discussion lads, heaps of good input.

Alright so in summary:

Keep the media density light, get that root network juicy nice n early. Perhaps Mycorrhiza could be beneficial?
Don't overfeed. Keep it simple with a soil that can carry it through or a basic equal part fert.
Don't learn from youtube/Reddit warriors
Marketed as "easy" which isn't always the case. Quite a few bullshit genetics out there still.
More tolerant of high-stress training (if you know what you're doing)
You have less time to play around and if you mess it up then you're done for.

A) mostly new growers
B) no time to fix an issue
Just did a Crystal dwarf from freedom of seeds. It was only 65 days from seed to harvest. Only 28 grams dry weight. Imo definitely worth it. One if the best auto strains I've grown for flavor, potency and bag appeal.
A new grower with one issue (watering, nutes, deficiency) would be overwhelmed and might miss small window to fix.

Imagine how many more grams you'd have harvested if you didn't read BS marketing and let it finish properly.
Nope. It came out exactly like it was suppose to which is another gd point. Alot of new growers don't understand the genetics of the plant they are growing. This was a dwarf as stated in the name. Its meant to give 25-28 grams per plant. It did its job. If I was listening to comments as a new grower I would've been going for a big stash when plant was not capable.

You still harvested a month early.

But you harvested a month early so that doesn’t count at all. That plant likely should have went to day 100.

Doesn’t matter if it’s supposed to give you a pound or an ounce it was harvested way to early.

I gave advice on an auto thread recently that was rejected by two members.
It's only 11 posts so easy to read. I honestly thought my advice was good, I only offer advice when I feel it will help. I still am not sure if my advice was bad or not. They reject the idea of adding EWC when feeding a balanced fertilizer. Maybe they thought I was suggesting to feed right away IDK but I suggested water only for at least 2 weeks before feeding.
I've never grown auto's but thought my advice was good, but 2 members disagree and was wondering what you guys thought.
Happy Growing!
Here's the thread.

But the breeder says 8-9 weeks from seed. That's 56-63 days. They went 2 days past the high end of what the breeder stated. I highly doubt a breeder would provide incorrect harvest times. You should be able to plant a seed and mark your calendar based off of breeder times. Breeder times are 100% accurate.

You know you're right. I thought the grin emoji would identify it as sarcasm but I'm sure many don't understand. I just took it for granted that it would be taken sarcastically. I just addressed that same issue the other day when someone made a post calling photos I posted as being fake. I didn't know if they were joking or not and they never responded so I can only assume they were actually being serious. Had to school them and prove that it was not true because as you say, many will just believe a post despite it being a joke or just blatantly false. I'll have to remember to be more clear in the future.

I'll clarify that my previous post was sarcasm and was intended as a joke. Breeder times are generally not accurate and listed times are shorter than what is actually required.

Lmao oh I don’t give a shit man, if someone reads one post and takes it as the truth then it’s on them for not doing the proper research. Fuck em.
