I'm not disagreeing there may be some intersection of points...

Personally, I fear freedom is a slow march to a world like the streets of Philadelphia in the long term.
The negative things in life seem to be multiplying faster than the right and good.

Either way, I'm not enamored enough to get into personal disagreements about the guy....
Two of us get along and see eye to eye 98% of the time, so I expect to differ in the odd case, and it doesn't affect my feelings.

I'm not sure why- he can't read..a well known fact..how does he even know what he's looking at? If he's looking to sell something to the highest bidder it would be nuclear. Now how many of you think he's capable of nuclear physicist skill in deciding what was worth selling?

Most of us wouldn't even know what we are looking at.

He found a better out..the donation button- he grifts the shit out of his base every time Garland farts and he doesn't even have to think.
You don't need to know what it is or how it works to sell it, just that it's valuable.

...do not at all disagree with that last part though. Wonder if he forgot about this grift he had hanging out in his back pocket. The proverbial joint you forgot about in the backpack your about to go through customs with.

A government agency is the final arbiter of truth you say? Tell me more...
The independent courts will send Trump to prison, not the "government", grand juries indict and judges hear cases, if there is one and juries decide guilt or innocence. Spin all you want, Trump can try to spin it, but getting out from under the secret documents indictment, is like getting out from under the DEA finding a kilo of coke under yer bed. He even personally reviewed the documents FFS and can't even blame a stooge or staff.

Donald will go down, right now he's more useful destroying the GOP and fucking their chances for November, hence the slow pace of justice. Mitch would love for Garland to get Trump off his back and out of his way, so would many other republicans, so don't expect much other than bullshit theater from them to entertain the base of morons.

Too funny that you got angry when your little lie was refuted by a government agency.

Right there in your post, is why Republikkkans are losing their grip on power in the US. You celebrate people's economic hardships because you think it will help your fascist leaders win in the fall. What an asshole.
Aren't you about to have a Republican governor for the first time in quite a while in Oregon? Doesn't that kinda debunk your "theory" on a local very personal level? Just walk around your community and acknowledge how half of them think that everything you say is pure nonsense.

Is that how our legal system really works though or do you actually have to test the coke, then be formally indicted and then have the right to face your accuser before plea thus before giving formal jurisdiction?

Oh right you meant the court of Canadian opinion.

I submit the idea that the bolded is a good thing. Perhaps the multiplication of bad things is a result of the bad things being dragged into focus.

That empowers us in a way that previous ignorance did not.

That man did us one favor. He tore the mask of decency off the face of an entire political party. Their frontrunners are thrashing like gaffed sharks in front of the cameras, and continuing the work of exposing previously hidden structural evils despite themselves.

cloud/silver lining

Dude, just look at what they said. It makes sense. Your dumbass "two quarters of decline in GDP is a recession" is clearly not true. What they say makes sense. You are falling back on cynicism and even trying to understand what they said. Read the fucking statement.

The NBER recession is a monthly concept that takes account of a number of monthly indicators—such as employment, personal income, and industrial production—as well as quarterly GDP growth.

That makes sense. I made a point of emphasizing "government agency" because I knew it would trigger you. You are so predictable.

God damn you are predictable. I knew you'd come back with this kind of statement, so I held back the reason why Republikkkans even have a chance of winning the gubernatorial election.

The reason Republikkans have a chance this fall is because the owner of Nike is funding the campaign of a former Democrat who will split the vote. So, this isn't about Republicans changing people's minds, it's about a Democrat selling out to a wealthy Republican. Republicans can't win without shenanigans. This year, they can't win back the legislature because Democrats Gerrymandered the shit out of this state. Turnabout is fair play. So, what will come about if Republikkkans should manage to win the governorship is yet another Republikkkan's failed term in office. In any case, most polling agencies list Oregon's governor race as leaning Democrat. That's with Knight's thumb on the scale. Without it, Republikkkans have zero chance.

We will outlast your party's bullshit.

National Archives wanted to share classified docs from Mar-a-Lago with intel community for damage assessment months ago

Just normal stuff but trump supporters will be able to justify it. Makes you wonder if there’s ever a line he can’t cross?

Still though, it’s gotta be tough making excuses for the orange clown.

Meh, not really. He comes up with a dozen wishing you would latch on to one. He doesn't give the idea a chance to take hold because he's an impatient criminal.

the only thing i've ever had to admit about trump is that he does have a set of brass balls on him...
he's about to be indicted for mishandling classified documents, stealing them to begin with, lying about it, potentially treason, and this is his response?.....
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/aug/23/first-thing-trump-sues-us-government-over-fbi-search-of-mar-a-lago

just exactly what does he think a special master is going to do? there is nothing "privileged" in those boxes, and if there was, he STILL SHOULDN'T FUCKING HAVE THEM...
that's really what this whole thing comes down to...he never should have taken those papers to begin with, under any circumstance...
is being too fucking stupid to understand the procedure that you didn't follow really a defense you want to employ?
"i'm sorry your honor, i didn't understand that my power over reality wasn't complete....it does explain why i couldn't turn Melania into Ivanka..."
