I really appreciate all the input - I think the 3K price tag plus mirrors, helmet, protective gear will top out what I'm willing to spend for another toy. I'm still leaning towards the one Loki posted the review for - 1000 watt motor, plenty of battery, some suspension, nice looking control panel.
Still open to opinions though.

I don't plan on any rides over 8-10 ish miles so I don't think that's gonna be an issue.
I'm 6'2", 200 lb with a 34.5" inseam.

I have owned the AddMotor trike for several years and love it.....You could haul 1/2 a moose on this thing...

If you will be riding strickly on the street I built this one from a Walmart Schwinn trike for about $600...You can haul at least 2 breakfast jacks

Some mid drive bikes don't have a throttle. For me I didn't want to pedal and be sweaty so the hub motor was the best option.

This one has a twist throttle - check out Loki's vid (on pg 01 of this thread), it's a pretty good review.

Perfect! I want to change to a grip throttle. WIth the thumb throttle it's almost impossible to hold a consistent speed and get cruise control to kick in.

I've pretty much settled on this one as the best fit for me - shopping for helmet, phone holder, mirrors now.
