starting to see some flowers starting to develop adjusted the lights to 24" at 70% intensity. i dont think i can turn the lights up any higher just dont have enough head room will plan better next time wont let them get as tall first time with these lights soo. the star pupil from mass medical strains has started to turn purple as advertised. the purple punch hasn't turned purple however the flower development has been amazing to watch looks like itll be the heaviest yielder. the L.A og is looking nice but not a very large plant. the in house genetics platinum kush breath is a large plant thats a heavy feeder and seems to be capable to taking more light than the others however i dislike the structure and how much it has stretched it looks like itll be a pain to trim i personally dont think the seeds are worth the money that he charges

Such a great job on your grows it's bringing back my depression.

I managed to paint in the corner of my grow room a few days ago and was feeling all upbeat about it then look at that operating theatre you grow in and feel so inadequate. lol

How wide is the actual canopy? I go up to a 5x5' area max in my room and this last batch of 7 plants covered 5x4 of it so I used one 600W HPS on my light rail but the plants were doing poorly. The one light wouldn't have covered it properly without the mover but power is crazy expensive here at just over 30¢/kwh and the mover only uses 9W so it's a hella lot cheaper and when I've had good grows it does a good job. With the light hitting from different angles the secondary buds seem to do a lot better and I can run a 1000W as close as 12" so the plants get light like the sun but it's moving so doesn't overheat the canopy. Zap the leaves and hit no more than 80 when the room is 75.

Do you run all 3 of those pedestal fans at once? Maybe that's the secret eh.

thanks man! oh im sure you'll renovate the basement eventually it just takes time. yea hydro is really expensive. now that ive switched to led from hps ill never look back so much cheaper on hydro in a sealed room i think alot of the cost savings comes from the a/c running less. id recommend switching. i made a 4x8 trellis which is not to bad since i cant seem to turn it up any higher than 70% due to growing them too tall. currently they are pulling 455 watts each which is perfect for that size table. im doing a smaller grow than last year its hard to get people to help trim for that length of time. last year me and a friend sat at my table for four days. im hoping to get 2-3 lb this run.

on day 50 of flower things are coming along im super impressed with purple punch from barneys farm its such a huge yielder absolutely massive buds, star pupils flowers are extremely purple small yielder though very complex
smell very exotic for sure, the L.A OG is very chunky looking all the fan leaves appear to be turning purple but not the calyxes likely wont see the colors after trimming this beast, platinum kush breath is an interesting looking plant its growing little nugs with a long node spacing between them with lots of crystals wish it was a bigger yielder or stacked better.

so its that time of year again where i make things with the trim and popcorn nugs i tried making gummy bears again and i've vastly improved since the last time made them i also changed my recipe and added more ingredients im going to be putting the recipe on here since i'll lose the paper as usual.

list of ingredients:
infused coconut oil
unflavored gelatin
box of jello
citric acid
lorann's super-strength candy flavoring
food coloring
lecithin

Step One: In a small bowl add 1/2 a cup of water. weigh and pour 28 grams of unflavored gelatin over top and gently mix with a fork until completely saturated. set aside for 5-10 minutes to allow for the gelatin to bloom

Step Two: while we wait for the gelatin to bloom in a small non-stick pot melt your 1/4 cup of infused coconut oil at 1-2 on your stove top.

Step Three: when the coconut oil is fully melted add contents of flavored Jello pack turn heat to "4" whisk contents try to get the coconut oil to full saturate the pack of jello dont leave on the stove too long 4-5 minutes is good.

Step Four: take your non-stick pot off the element on the stove. Add bloomed gelatin and whisk until completely dissolved.

Step Five: stir in one bottle of Lorann Super-Strength Candy Flavoring (try to match your candy flavoring with the flavor of jello it works better)

Step Six: Add 1 Tsp of Cirtric acid (this will change the ph and hopefully the candy will last longer, can add a bit more and taste it if your interested in doing sour candies)

Step Seven: add 1 Tsp of food coloring (again match the color of the jello with the color of the food coloring for vibrant colors)

Step Eight: add 1/2 Tsp of lecithin (can be substituted with liquid, if your using the granules put them in a coffee grinder and grind to a fine powder this ingredient is added last its important because it binds the oil and water together)

Step Nine: fill mold cavities

Step Ten: let the gummies sit in the molds for an hour and half or so befor taking them out, once there out of the molds can let them dry for a few hours depending on how chewy you want them to be.

also something to note: do not roll these gummies in sugar or citric acid they will melt.

I apologize for replying to something fairly ancient, but I know you've pointed towards this recently.

I'm about to do a round of gummies and I'd like to use this recipe, but I'm not using coconut oil...I'll be using FECO instead. If I'm reading this right, it has 1/4th cup water (with the gelatin) then the other liquid is 1/4th cup coconut oil. Is this workable by switching out the oil for 1/4th cup of water? Or am I better off looking at other recipes?

600 watt mh conversion/600 watt hps, soil, advanced nutrients ph perfect. soil is buffered to 7.0ph. anyway i'll try to update this thread as things get more interesting. feel free to comment in my grow journal i dont mind.

Damn man looking good, and you are right about LED's being a LOTTT different from HPS. Its taken me a while to get used to them and honestly I'm still not 100% comfortable lol. You'll get it dialed in. Props on the grow and the clean ass room man!
