Miracle grow question HELP!

I say use it if you got it. You've gotten some super solid advice here, my 2 cents regarding Miracle Gro;

It's great for keeping things "green". That's about it. Of course yes you can flower with it, yes they even have flower oriented nutrients but my experience with MG is it's great for green vegetative growth, fantastic for lawns & shrubs, but i no longer use it on our tomatoes or any other veggies. We always got bitter fruits and veggies with it, i think it had too slow N-release in most if not all of their products.

Having said that, plenty of people have grown dank ass weed start to finish with probably even the "blue crystals" so i still say Use it if you got it.

Another reason why I ditched botanicare and gavita and now luxx. Oh well. And we don't want legalized cannabis we want decriminalization. They want it legal so MG and Scott's can own everything in a super regulated over taxed market
When you say "They" do you mean virtually every single person that uses cannabis? Because that's who wants it legalized. Scotts Miracle-Gro sells affordable products to millions of satisfied customers. They don't rip people off selling bottles of diluted epsom salts for $25 or some pollen chucker getting $50 for a seed. They are no more or less ethical than a good portion of all companies and individuals making money in the cannabis growing supply space.

I only use one of their products but I have absolutely no issue with them as a company. It's a well run company ran by talented people that know what they're doing.

I have no problem using their products. This is as effective as Clonex for 1/4 the price.

Thats what i was looking for. Have you used fox farm trio liquid fert? I think thats what im about to buy. Im at week 4 now anyways so probably just the bloom this run?
Make life easy. Dr earth all purpose for veg and flower girl for flowering.

They are dry ammendments that sprinkle on top and mix into the top layer of soil. you only need to use it once a month.

Fox farms bottles are every other feed which get extremely old extremely fast.

I was just reading about dr earths. They have a few different kinds which formula do you use for veg and flower? 444 veg 284 flower or vise versa? I can read about it all day long but id rather personal experience from someone. Lol

I use the 4-4-4 for veg and the flower girl for bloom. It's super simple and really affordable. Just top dressing at the flip to flower and every two weeks after. You mix in the amendments with your soil at planting and keep the ph in a reasonable range of most households tap water and that's pretty much it. You can add in extras like earth worm castings and mycos to help with root development but I've done grows without either just fine. Keeping it simple is a great way to grow and can produce some very tasty buds as well.

I just can't believe some people shit on an and the people that use an but defend miracle grow.... Kettle=black?
Personally I think both are shit. Feeding your plants mg is like feeding your kids McDonald's. Used to always know the guys using the blue crap outdoors cause their plants turned into leaf monsters and had ultra tiny buds that tasted like poop. Turned so many people off of Mg just using other basic a+b, or maxigrow/bloom and they all never looked back. That being said you totally can use it. You can use Shultz 10-10-10 with the little dripper in it. Doesn't mean it's gona work out well, but hey learning is a curve right?

All purpose 4-4-4 for veg has been good for me. Depending on what soil you use and depending on how long you veg for you may need to use it only once during veg.

During flower I use flower girl and a small amount of the 4-4-4 together. This feeds well but also ensures it doesn't have a nitrogen deficiency.

I do 4-4-4 at flip and a 50-50 blend for the next top dressing after that it's straight flower girl. It seems to be working well for strains that go 10 weeks but if I had a really fast flowering indica I might start at 50/50 blend at flip then go to flower girl for the second and subsequent feeding. I agree with needing the nitrogen for the stretch for sure.

Yea for smaller plants you may not need the 444 in flower.

I grow in 10-15 gallon grow bags outdoors. They absolutely need the 444 during flower.

I haven't seen the list of ingredients but I think they're very similar. I go heavier than what they recommend. They said 1/4 cup per 5 gallons of media and I usually go 2 tbls per gallon without any signs of burn ever.
I always go slightly more then they say. I do my 1 tblsp per gallon plus one tblsp of guano and a dusting of bokashi.
Veg usually is fine with the 1 tblsp per gal with bokashi plus some teas, fish hydrolysate and kelp waterings.

I've been using that for years. (Gaia) Used it outdoors and just started using it inside as well.. great stuff. I make my own mixes tho with more insect frass and bokashi in veg and more guano in flower mixed in with the 2-8-4
I was using fox farms trio for a long time. 2 years ago I got sick of mixing shit up every other watering so I decided to try Dr Earth. It's organic and pretty mindless.

Il never go back lol

Ya dude. Gaia is so FN easy. I'm doing a 3x3 'mother tester' tent. I wanted it to be as hands off as possible so I did blumats and Gaia. It's killing it! Lol. I only check on it every 3 days. Otherwise the doors are closed. So FN simple.

Next run in the fall gona go this route. Alot less work and fuckery
It's a bit messy in there but it's just to see what plants will be kept and which will be culled. Prob make hash out of the whole thing and press it

I bought it because it was cheap and I was broke as hell at the time :bigjoint:. I'm so glad I was because it suits my situation perfectly. Not having to measure out liquids and shake up gallons of water every day has been a blessing for my hands and back. It is pretty much mindless as long as you pay close attention to the plants and stay far ahead of any problems that are starting to develop as it takes awhile to correct them with top dressing. I think I might get a bottle of liquid organic guano for extra P during peak bloom as it's the only thing I've seen is heavy feeders going through a small P deficiency during week 5 or 6 and that might help cut that off. Other than that I'm on my fourth full flower cycle with it and don't plan on changing it for now. I love that I'm not ingesting all the chemicals I used to and subjectively I think the buds taste fantastic.

Duno about Dr earth but I know Gaia actually has been known to test on the higher side for heavy metals
Cannabis has a great ability to pull up heavy metals from soil. They use hemp to clear up heavily contaminated soil....
