Sad and Droopy plants

What I see when I look at those pics are places light isn't hitting are green. If you look within the canopy and at low growth, in both sets of pics that growth is dark green. The only parts of the plant that are fading are the parts of the plant exposed to the light. The plants are also drooping away from the light. The lower darker growth also appears to be standing out more not as droopy. Usually with nutrient or medium issues that'll start from the bottom up environment issues top down. Which is also the direction the issue appears to be going since it eventually stops. Again probably not what's going on here just what I observed from the pics. Good luck bud

Thanxx!

I'm using 2 400W LED lights and they were raised as high as they could go a month or two ago.

Still droopy today.

The plants are still sad and droopy.

You know something? I've also got the two plants outside and they too look sad and droopy. For outside transplanting I dug holes and back-filled them about 90% with the HP CC.

I think maybe the CC has something to do with the sadness and droopiness. Here's the thing. When I bought-the Pro-Mix, HP CC was all they had in stock because of the 'shortages'. I'm going to a different hydro store tomorrow..

The plan is to swap the soils in the pots the best I can with a different Pro-Mix. I'm boycotting FFOF because of the bugs.

Perhaps the HP CC is super hot.

Bugs can be in any soil. Most bags have tiny holes or entry points. Bags just sit and sit from shipped until bought. Fox farms ocean forest is so good if you could continually transplant every month idk if youd ever have to feed. I'm biased tho been using original blend, happy frog and ocean forest for many years.

I decided I'm done with these designer soils for now.

Every time I've used FFOF I got gnats and usually a fight w/Spider Mites. I switched to Pro-Mix and my plants still don't grow right because of other issues.

Today I'm going to Big Blue ($LOW) and buying cheap soil and growing in that. I may amend with manure.

Lol you get gnats because its organic soil, that happens I'll start every grow unless its winter with sticky traps. I have 2 sticky traps hanging in tent always I even have a sticky trap hanging from the room light. You'll be surprised how many bugs youd catch flying towards the tents light. I'll also give neem oil waterings at first sign of a gnat in my tent. Never had spider mites.

I'll add also if plants are sick, deficiency, toxicity, or root issues that draws bugs as well.

you got fungus gnats because you dont have a good hypoaspis miles population just saying :)

I went over to the other big box that starts with Menar... to spend off my rebate postcard.

You're right in that I was crawling around the pallets and moved some soil in one area, gnats flew out, Gnats are easy to deal with using mosquito dunks.

I looked at the "organic" soils but they each contained an "organic three month release fertilizer". They didn't fool me!

After checking all their soils I went with the smaller bales on the left, a Pro-Mix. The soil I'm currently using is from the bale on the right. 100%.

I don't know why my plants look wilted and droopy. Hopefully this works.

I dont have fungus gnats, I have in the past. Once you start being preventative that pretty much eliminates getting them. Once you know how to treat once you see them, they wont be around long.

When looking at soil check its first ingredient out. That is what the medium is mainly comprised of. Look for aged forest material as the first ingredient most soils list peat moss or something else.

best preventative is the soil fauna itself. keep the scavengers happy and you will not have them ever. i dont like dunks, traps or de. just naturally occuring hypoaspis.

Here are the two outside plants, same droopiness.

If this new soil works I may eject two more plants from the tent. I'll grow 4 biggies.

I dont mind the neem and traps. I haven't had to use neem in over a year lol it's not like I'm constantly dealing with bugs. You're coming off like it's a constant battle to keep bugs out of tent. It's a rare ordeal if you're clean and careful. Not taking plants in and out of tent, leaving windows open etc.

i dont like neem and the traps because it traps or kills the beneficials too. but of course its your grow to do as you please. just having hypoaspis in huge numbers roaming the soil makes me feel safer than any preventative.

Neem does traps I leave the cover over bottom if needing to place on soil. I grow organically so the rhizosphere is a priority to me. One or two neem soil drenches if infested will not effect the outcome more so than the baby gnats eating plants roots. After neem you can always water with mycorrhizae and other means to help put microbes back in or help stabilize after the neem. Personally I've never noticed it or used neem enough to see a difference caused by using neem.
