Humidity wont drop below 50% easily plz help

In a 48”x48”x80” tent i got 5 plants in 10 gal fabric pots and ac infinity cloudline 6” ventilation sys. In flower week 3 n water 3 quarts every 3rd day. Humidity has been 62%-56%. If i get a small dehumidifier for inside of tent how many oz of water or gal does it need to extract per day?

I flowered my last run around 50-55% without a problem. You'll be fine as long as you've got ventilation.

Also, if you think it's too humid, you should probably avoid getting a humidifier.

I run anywhere between the 50 and like 62 percent during flower it’s hard to maintain where I live as rainy days effect it differently but I never seem to have a issue as long as it doesn’t stay high for long periods of time and I keep the air movement up

Ty glad to hear but i read they dont take in nutes or water amount optimally w too high humidity n during flowering it needs to be 40-50% Do u have any example pics of ur harvests or any late flowering weeks?

small dehums dont do shit and if youre taking in fresh air from outside you need a lung room if no fresh air from outside calculate the volume of the room and go 25-50% higher capacity unit and run it with the room door closed

With a single tent, you'll be fine with no smaller than a 20 pint dehumidifier, which goes into your lung room. Putting a dehumidifier inside the tent wont do much since it should be constantly exchanging air with the lung room. The 20 pint models have small reservoirs though, so you might end up having to dump it 4 times per day/night, so if you go for a larger model with a 1 gal reservoir, you won't regret it-although they do use a significant amount of power-usually around 500 watts. The 20 pint models use around 300 watts. Good luck!

Your talking about perspiration and the way the plant takes up utilizes and expels it’s nutrients I have ran my rooms at 60 percent with good air movement and higher heats and still get the same perspiration your talking about you can do it by the books an try and reach and maintain that 48 to 50 percent during flower but you can also achieve the same thing with a little higher humidity and your plant still uptake the proper amount of nutes but yes you are correct in what your saying look up a proper vpd chart to help set your temps and humidity

i use a seperate 10 gallon tank for the dehum water and use the water for watering the plants. just like nature intended haha

That’s just plain science bud we learned that in grade school lol just like photosynthesis is the plants transformation of light into food and growth. perspiration is the process in which the plant utilizes its water and the nutes in said water. the vpd chart is what you use to dial everything in leaf temp ie plant temp to room humidity to get ideal growth in that environment. I’m just saying I have grown many a times and had to deal with mid range humidity like 60 to Lower 60’s and still grew tight big buds you just have to bring up your room temps and increase airflow in tent and should help lower humidity to your ideal range nature fluctuates and weed grows great in it so some times just step back and take a breath and sleep on it sometimes

In a perfect world yeah 50% or under is the "optimal" but sometimes it's just impossible. I had a hard time keeping it at 50% it more like averaged 55%-60% so I have 3 fans to keep a good steady breeze to keep the plant moving.

Feels like a new grower worrying about stuff they've read without the experience to know what works and what doesn't. Seriously not worth worrying over what amounts to the land of diminishing returns when it comes to what the increase in the end harvest vs. working with the humidity that you have (which is in a reasonable zone).

There's a bunch of stuff that points towards obsessing over a minor factor when there are probably bigger fish to fry along the way. (lookin' at you 5x 10 gallon bags in a 4x4).

For umpteenth grow I've not seen below 60% for the duration of the crop that's the best I'll get with a dehumidifier running, without the dehumidifier it's 70/76% a dehumidifier (12ltr) makes a huge difference even with air exchanges every minute or so.

At night my dehumidifier + fan run @10% continuously to maintain 60/63% if I turn of the dehumidifier the humidity rises if I turn of the fan the humidity rises I need both working together.

I've a 12ltr for inside imho it's perfect it gives off heat while taking care of humidity watt for watt they're better than a heater in my situation.

I’ve caught it that high before at night.. that’s only if I leave something open. Humidity get up to 90-93% outdoors, so the AC is a must. Helps keep the temps down as well. Lights are on 100% with those readings.
