Eazyplug Pyramid G & S challenge.

Do we have at least half a dozen Auto flower growers who are up for a Grow and Show in the Eazyplug Pyramid (small). They are less than six bucks at walmart, and it's prolly best to use the 1 inch eazyplug to start because the mini pyramid has a space where that fits in. Impossible to overwater that takes care of itself, so great for newbies or people without soil experience. To fertigate my one I was just using a small jug to pour over the nutes while holding it over a reservoir. I was just allowing small run off at first till I discovered the ppm went up to 3500, after that I just poured a litre or two over her at a time. You might find a better way. Interesting to note that in spite of the ppm rising to 3500 the plant showed no sign of stress.

Here is a shot at two weeks old Pyramid246 - 1.jpeg, four weeks old Pyramid246 - 2.jpeg

And here she is today at six weeks, with maybe two or three weeks to go Pyramid246 - 6.jpeg. I have her under a 100W lamp but you may just want to use whatever light spillover you have, that was my initial thought. This one was topped, but I'll be trying various other ways eventually, not topped or maybe reduced branches, or maybe even a single stem. Which is why I thought if a bunch of people want to give this a go then we'll all get to find this stuff out soon as well as the nute ratios. Unlike the solo cup grow, this is not difficult.

If you are interested maybe a May starting date would be good. I think this could be a world first Pyramid Mini Autoflower grow and show! So why not be part of interweb history while making use of your spare space.

Your plant has double the amount of time left than you have estimated. Maybe focus on harvesting ripe weed before trying to create grow competitions.

Update: Appears to have stopped bulking up.

This thing really works!

That's actually pretty impressive. I can get them here in Aus for relatively cheap, but I'm like the worst person at growing any weed in small amounts of medium. I don't know why either.

I'd take your offer up but I fail miserably for some reason if I don't drop a seed straight Into a 3 or 5 gallon pot from the get go.

It's a bizarre phenomenon. I was Gunna take the solo challenge but would have got my ass handed to me within a few days.

Yes exactly. I've never been able to grow in soil, but this thing takes zero skill at all. Got a new bean on the way. For the first two to three weeks she just requires water. I let the plug get a bit dry on the sides but I don't think it matters much because it cannot be overwatered. Later I just pour the nutrient over her. Currently just hosing her down in the shower with plain water.

The structure of the final plant from my first experience is that the growth is completely different to how she would be in a larger pot, I thought if there's a few people growing in these then we'll get to find stuff out faster. It's like a solo cup on steroids and without the pain.

I will keep updating this thread anyway. It's not really meant to be any sort of a challenge, more of a grow and show. I also have another bean on the way not popped yet with has a very open gangly structure so I will be curious to see how that turns out.

Ok time for the big chop today. 310g wet for the eight branches, so I'm expecting over 2 zips. All very tight dense nugs top to bottom. This has exceeded all my expectations by a long way. I have four more different automatic beans on the way in their own little pyramids. My grow room has more pyramids than Giza.

Exactly 62g of top quality bud off the Purple Haze, very interesting flavour sort of like fruity summer cherries marinated in diesel fuel. Not gonna make the bud look pretty rather leave some protective leaves on than see a shower of crystals flying off into space.

35 days LemonPie, 28 days Amnesia, 25 days Gorilla Cookies, 23 Days Jack47XL

Looks like Gorilla Cookies has got dud genes deformed leaves and stunted growth, I'll have another one ready to go soon, but I'll let this one finish anyway. Lemon Pie is very vigorous, Amnesia is growing true to type and also flowering early, Jack 47 was so feeble at 10 days old, but she is a solid specimen with an 18 inch wingspan! And

Quick update, on Lemon Pie, Amnesia and Gorilla Cookies. L.P is top shelf quality bud small and dense at 13", Amnesia is wifey as expected, not as juicy looking but decent bud nonetheless, and Jack47 took a while to get some bulk on but she is looking very dense with trichomes and the pistils are greenish creamy looking so overall a very soft look from Jack.

Gorilla Cookies turned out to be an horrible mutant, but I grew her out anyway and replaced her with a non mutant gorilla cookies and she couldn't be more different.

Also started a Jedi Kush in a large pyramid to see if I can eliminate my hydro completely.

Lemon Pie Auto is down, she is small at 13 inches but chunkier than Purple Haze so I think she can get close to 50g. Buds have a very good structure.

Lemon Pie Auto returned 68g which was a bit of a surprise but not much she is very heavy with resin and dense of bud.

Amnesia Auto returned 118g is down, with my biggest yield yet from one of these mini pyramids . Buds are a little meaty for my taste but plenty of resin but not really covered. I'll have to put some through the slug33 and see how that goes, however she is strong, I'll give her that.

Next one coming up, is Jack47XL AutoShe started of strong but she appeared to be a little underwhelming at 7 weeks, I was little concerned, but at 10 weeks she is probably the most attractive plant I've grown, with beautiful olive, khaki and creamy beige colours, she looks like she is already dried even as she grows. The trichomes are so fat and cloudy that it just looks covered in fur, instead of crystals. Here is a sneak preview. I'm estimating close to 3 zip. These are all one litre pots remember!

Winner, winner. Chicken dinner. Congrats. Looks thicc for 3 months auto. Like the compact size. How many will fit in a 16 sq ft canopy?

but you need to up your trim game

@solakani, one takes up about a square foot of canopy and you can get at least 60g in that my 120g plant took a little more space but not much more. So you could fit 16 in that and produce well over a kilo. However that would be a pain int he ass with. But if you wanted to start a lot off and grow them for three weeks and plant out then 180 of these in a 4' x 4', But then you're into a commercial grow that would need to be plumbed, which is probably how these are meant to be used.

However I have been experimenting with the full size pyramid, that one is 4 litres and produced the kind of result that you would get in a 4 or 5 gallon fabric pot, and then it's a different story, whereas the mini pyramid will reliably fit into a square foot no matter the bean, the big pyramid will be more true to type, so it could grow compact and bushy or very large. The mini pyramids finish faster, the big pyramid so far is proving to be the opposite, but I'll need to see this finish. Right now I'm amazed at the difference in bud structure, usually this is a leggy bean, with small compact buds completely covered in resin and is done in 10 weeks, this current jedi is short and stocky with huge dense buds at 10 weeks and looks to be another 3 weeks to go.

This is how Jedi Kush normally grows for me, it's my favourite kind of bud Jedi Kush auto - 1 (1).jpeg
