outdoor 2009 prep.

i am planning on doing a guerilla grow and putting anywhere from 9-12 clones out next may to start growing.. it is an unknown strain but i'm hoping to get about a pound or more from these plants.. i plan on pruning about half way through season to get them to bush out a bit more.. as for nutes i am planing on buying a bucket of high nitrogen time release fert. and give them a sprinkle of it around the plant... then when flowering kicks in i'll get a different tub of low nitrogen fert and high P and K the i'll give them a sprinkle of that also.. i will be visiting them every 2 weeks to check on them and give them water if needed.. is this a good plan??? if you were to estimate how much would i be able to get off of 12 plants???.. because i need to put it in a backpack to get it from the areea that i will grow in..

sounds good to me... im also in the planning for the 2009 season. I was thinking of putting 15-20 clones out in a few different areas. I havent grown outside in a few years, last being a WW that gave me 14ozs. So im looking to get close to a pound per plant next year.

it all depends on the strain at this point............... i'm only doing about 3to4 sativas and about 20to25 indicas outside already mapped the forrest and started diggin holes

Oh man, I've been dreaming about May myself, can't wait. You can never know the yield unless you do the same strain and care every year as a good estimate, you mite only get a ounce or less per plant or you could potentially get over a pound or more each plant, you never know.

Keep your friend at home, a big old hockey bag is perfect if you get lots, you could stuff 40lbs in it.

You should get some perlite and mix that in with the soil where u plant them so the plant has water even through the rough times.

Yes i can't wait till next May. Im going to do some Purple and maybe throw a few big bud in the mix as well. Summer 09 i will be going for large yeilds.

naww my friend will give me a hand with it.. i'll give him a 1/4oz. and he will be sett he's one of those guys who only smokes maybe twice a week... so he would be pumped aabout not buying it... i was thinking about perlite but the soil here is already nice and wet.. so no added things are needesd to retain water... all i need is to get some more nutes going to the roots to make the girls big and strong...

When I go out in the spring, I camp out and am usually gone for a week. Tent, back-pack..cooler of beer..camel-back..shovel..topsoil..cocco coir..lime to buffer the soil(alot of clay)..I dig 10gal holes for all my plants..and I usually harvest a lb per plant.

Since you have so much time before planting, I have a few suggestions.

Go find your plot now, while the sun is low on the horizon, that way you'll know if there will be any light obstructions (trees) that keep your plant from recieving full sun.

Also, you can start digging your holes and backfilling your bed.

I also suggest putting a few different beds out there, say, 4 plants in each bed, and have several small plots scattered around the given area.

Advanced Nutrients has a excellent time released fertilizer, there's three different jars, spring, summer, and fall, you'll definately get a pound per plant with it.

Also, since you have so much time, why not do like 40+ plants, if you can find a plot near a stream, it's totally do-able, just get a gas powered sump. Pump the water to your grow.

Plants will be up to 15 feet tall, so harvesting will be a lot of work.

I am doing a planed grow for nexed year as well I have a BB mother maturing , also some hash plants I have been growing for years the seeds are starting to get a bit iffy when germanating I got 3 outta 10 I tryed to sprout. So this year I'm going to polinate 1 bud for future growing trying to keep this strain alive. Good luck!
