On the verge of giving up!!!!

Hi all, yet again, same problem I always get during week 3/4 flower. Yellowing starts and takes over the plant usually within the next week. Basically been growing a few years now and every grow goes amazing through veg but as soon as I hit week 2/4 flower I start getting yellowing from the bottom. I used to think it was just nitrogen getting used up during the growth spurt but I have adapted and kept a low dose of nitrogen going untill week 2 of flower this run and still same issues. I'm growing a watermelon zkittles in a 12litre pot using bio bizz allmix and living soil dry amendments line. Water is PhD to 6.4( previous runs I've tried not pH ing the water and still same thing happens). Getting very disheartening now and am on the verge of just going back to buying. If anyone can help It would be greatly appreciate. It doesn't look much now but garenteed it will spread rapidly.

You have large plants in small fabric pots, the soil dries out really fast, while this may not be the cause, you're more likely to unwater your plants, the plants redirect the water from the lower canopy, leaves(they drop, clearly shown in the picture) and the leaves turn yellow and die off.
starting from the bottom and working its way up.
Easy fix, use larger fabric pots (double the size would be good).

I'll give this a go next run. Is it a Bit late to transplant now isn't it? I used to use plastic pots but always had overwatering issues no matter how long I left it between watering

So they are yellowing and dying from lack of water?

So what happens over the next 6 weeks, do they finish okay or do they die or just not produce anything good?

I've been using FF nutrients and always get deficiencies around week 4 of flower, but the plants always finish well even if they don't look nice and green. I'm now using GH Flora Nova line, to early to tell if there is an improvement.

Plants will redirect water /food from the lower fan leaves to survive, only happens when the root mass really dries out and the fan leaves start to drop.
The soil EC peaks, PH drops, and this can also damage the roots mass.

Bottom line, a larger pot will help the op get better results and reduce the problem he getting every time he hits week 2/3 in flower.

I would pot the plants up (double the size pots) just be careful with the root mass, they will look great in a few days.

They do finish, to an ok standard. I.e smokes and gets you medicated, but I've noticed as this yellowing begins the terpenes start to disappear. I've tried many different approaches to combat this. I've used bac's bottled nutes, RO water, tap water, bio bizz nutes, different brand soils etc... Same thing happens everytime. When i first come across it I thought it was some form on lockout from incorrect soil pH , but I've always been super carefull and always pH to 6.3/6.4 ,,, I see alot of grows and most people don't experience this untill around week 6/7 of flower...

Yeah I’m not buying it either lol.

me personally I would say it’s one of 2 things.

Either

1. not enough light getting to that far down on OP plants.

2. not enough nitrogen in whatever OP using for flowering.
I've tried many nute lines, this run I've gone organic dry amendments, and to combat what I though was a nitrogen deficiency I added worm castings 2 weeks before the flip as I heard the soil will need to break it down before being available. Not sure if there's truth in that but I am a novice

It’s not the soil that breaks it down its the micro herd contained within the rhizosphere.

Im not much of an organics guy in the slightest sorry so I can’t answer confidently what you do to help other than giving you my opinion on what I see happening to your plants.

That's good your a novice, used to get this same problem with smaller pots, larger pots fixed the problem, now in 29ltr pots, I water every 3-4 days.

Light wise, I'm currently using 2 X mars ts1000 about 20inches from canopy in a 1m x1m tent, I've also tried a hps 250w-600w. Same results

I’ll have a go here
I get the feeling the op feeds the same in mid flower as the rest of his grow
And as we all know it takes more food and water in that period
I would surmise with cloth pots and a history and fear of overwatering
He has let his medium completely dry out on more than one occasion
To me I would keep a close eye on the pots daily and add a bit of dish soap to every other watering for a couple weeks
And feed the beast it’s growing not finishing
