Anyone else watching the Kyle Rittenhouse trial?

I don't agree. I've lived in some of the most heavily armed states in the US and they also typically have the lowest incidents of violent crime. Legal gun owners, as a general rule, tend to be polite and mature. However, we are a country of 350 million people with assholes in every pocket. For example, Mr. Rosenbaum was the aggressive party. He was yelling threats and racial slurs towards multiple individuals.
How did these most heavily armed states treat the gender-other?

How much do you know about guns? The majority of firearms that aren't revolvers are semi-automatic including AR-15s and pistols. To your point, yes, ideally you are legally carrying a gun when someone attempts to do you harm.
I have shot thousands of rounds, from handguns to machine guns.

This sets a precedent that you can still defend yourself against a violent mob in this country regardless of what the media or president says. This is a win for anyone that believes in self defense because you can’t always “ Just call the cops”
And apparently you don’t even have to call just play vigilantes

What?

For example, Vermont has a high rate of gun ownership while being the safest state in the union in regards to violent crime. In general, a heavily armed and polite group. Socially, Vermont is an interesting place.

It means don’t be a scumbag and attack people or be violent because they can legally defend themselves. We aren’t animals there is no reason for violence if two sides disagree. Even on the courthouse of this trial people disagree but they have civil discussion not mob violence
So do you support my right to defend the capital in Michigan when the violent right showed up armed ?

Vermont is tiny. And trails it’s NHeighbor in gun rights.

My comment is aimed more at places like Texas where more permissive gun laws sharply correlate with more oppressive social laws, especially aimed at minorities, women and othersexuals.

"1.4 percent of Vermont residents are black, according to the U.S. Census Bureau (census.gov). Nationally, about 76.5 percent of the population is white, 13.4 percent black, 5.9 percent Asian and 18.1 percent Hispanic or Latino."
