Fuck the par meter. Just get a light that matches your square footage and dim or brighten as needed.
Par meter is really good for nothing, and an unneeded expense
I personally find a good par meter to be an excellent piece of equipment to have in the tool box... Is it a vital piece of equipment .. no... But when you are dialing in your environment I like to know exactly where I'm at... But that's just me... I like all the data I can get when I grow.

After reading through everybody's post. I appreciate all the advice.
Ive narrowed it down to HLG, chilLED, or grow craft.
Forgive for still being a lil undereducated when it comes to actual wattage vs wattage, its hard because there are so many companies you can't trust. And my math is terrible.
Im also dividing this space 2/3 flower 1/3 veg.
If you decide on ChilLed, try going through this link. You might get an extra 5% off, and save another $55 a piece.

Oh ok that new to me. Ill have to research it. Its where i want to go now. Learning lights is the future for me. Im just trying to make this a fool proof as possible.
Go to YouTube. Only time I refer to YouTube is for Dr Bruce Bugbee vids. Pure science. No bro science. Before you build or buy go watch. Be prepared to take notes because he's a college professor and delivers a lecture.

I am not sure why you quoted me to begin with, and it is not that i am not a fan of par meters.
The op was looking for advice on a light for a 9x9 and i replied to someone that told him all he needed was 600w for flower and a par meter..

My apologies to the op for muddying up the thread,
